It was a question, not a statement of fact, nor an accusation. Go back and see the question mark.

Also, I am not responsible for how you misinterpret a question or a comment.

If the question was out of line, was his directly calling Powell a racist out of line?

You have a big-time reputation for changing subjects, dishonesty, and dodging questions. Unfortunately for you, everything you post is tainted by this. I refuse to justify any of my posts, or anyone else's, for that matter, to you.

Got any comments on the criticism of Obama ?

Well, how about showing me how to answer a question then ... please answer the one I ask. So far you, Rev have only made personal attacks .... but not answered my question.

I haven't attacked anyone. Seems like you cannot deal with the subject, so you gotta change it. You have no authority here, and I refuse to play your silly games.

Do you agree with Powell's criticisms, or is he just hatin' on Obama, since he's now saying exactly what the economic experts were saying before BHO was even elected ?

You made a personal attack by implying that someone else may have been racist in their reason for voting for Obama. Then you worked to remain veiled in that attack by playing dumb "only asking a question". This is dishonest. Saying that is not an attack it is fact of truth. You worked to turn this thread into the subject of one of the board members being racist instead of staying on topic. Your behavior is shameful. Your original question was a personal attack. Move on.

Figures, you are great at personal assaults, but short on answers to questions.

Why should I answer any of your questions seeing as to how you refuse to answer mine. When you decide to be honest and answer questions resulting from your sophomoric attempts at insults then I will answer your question.

You are the one who continually tries to change subjects with personal attacks and insults.

How start being honest and answer my question and we can have a rational discussion.

Again, baloney to you. I find it humorous that a guy who has been banned TWICE is telling me how to act on my thread.

See ya, CTB. Welcome to my ignore list. You are not worth talking to.

I did not imply. I asked a question. Your misrepresenting a question is dishonest. Was his comment calling Powell a racist improper?

I cannot be responsible for your misinterpretation of a question.

So, answer my question please. Was his comment over the top?

I will play your game...

Collin Powell is a public figure who puts himself out into the media for political reasons and is therefore fair game for speculation as to his motives. So no, the comment on Powell was not over the top.

Other members here on the board are not any of the above. So yes, your comment about a board member is over the top.

You should now man up and apologize for your continued disrespect to others here on the board rather than compounding your offense by spinning it.

What office or political reason would Collin have? I think his political days are behind him which is why he speaks his mind.

I agree. If I were the president I would consider his opinions carefully. Powell is smart, honest and has lots of experience.

Powell is a public figure - whether serving in a public capacity currently or not.

As such, speaking his mind publicly is a political act.

One does not need to currently hold office to engage in politics.

I have answered your question.

Why do you ignore that fact?

Your accusation of racism towards a member of the board is inexcusable.

It is time to be a man and apologize to him.

Go back and see it was a question with a question mark. A question is not a statement or an accusation, it is a question.

I did not call anyone a racist, nor have I called him a racist. I simply ask if race had anything to do with his opinion on the issue. I did not bring race into the thread, the statement I was responding to brought up race.

Was it inexcusable for that person to call Powell a racist? So far everyone who is throwing cyber rocks at me has not answered the question. Will you give me an answer?

Again, I am not responsible for your misinterpretation of my question. Remember it was a question, not a statement.

Spineless spin.

More spineless spin.

I gave you a direct answer.

Here it is again - word for word.

Collin Powell is a public figure who puts himself out into the media for political reasons and is therefore fair game for speculation as to his motives. So no, the comment on Powell was not over the top.

Other members here on the board are not any of the above. So yes, your comment about a board member is over the top.

Again, I am not responsible for your misinterpretation of my question. Remember it was a question, not a statement.

And yet more spineless spin.

It's time to man up and get yourself out this hole that you have dug yourself into.

Resorting to personal attacks.

So, if calling Powell a racist was not over the top I do not see how a question can be over the top. After all it is a question.

Now again I cannot be held for your misinterpretation of my question. That is your problem, not mine.

Resorting to personal attacks.

Characterizing your posts as "spineless spin" is not an attack.

For you to suggest that someone on the board is racist a personal attack however - your spin not withstanding.

So, if calling Powell a racist was not over the top I do not see how a question can be over the top. After all it is a question...

In case you missed the answer again... the difference is because Powell is a public figure.

]Now again I cannot be held for your misinterpretation of my question. That is your problem, not mine.

Yes, you have given this spin so many times now that I am becoming quite dizzy from it.

There are a few supporters of President Obama that have buyer's remorse, but not many. Seems like President Clinton had more in his first term at this point, but he made some critical gaffes that the Obama team has not made. That said, the honeymoon clearly is running out. Given the cool reaction to a third stimulus plan and Obama's dwindling favorables and rising unfavorables in terms of policy, Obama is going to have to retool a bit if this continues.
