Jesus made it clear it was His house. He sets the rules and can do what He wants in His house.

This is OUR country, per our constitution we have a representative form of government and we make changes and decide issues by majority vote. It is as much the Lefts country as it is the Rights country.

As for what Jesus protected, he protected the sanctity of His House. This verse has nothing to do with abortion and everything to do with defiling God House. Jesus was setting His House in order.

He had the power, and was misusing his power and he was using the financial system of Jerusalem at that time to benefit him. In the process the innocent people were being hurt. The rulers were thieves NOT unlike the politicians in Washington that misuse their power to hurt and kill innocent people.

So yes, the fact that abortion kills innocent babies, and our President is a fan in promoting this infanticide, this passage is applicable to today's situation.

The tables need turned over in Washington, and hopefully that will happen in 2010, and 2012.

I have learned enough about you through your postings here on the board to understand exactly why you are personally so invested in getting on the government health care program. And I know that those are all problems of your own making.

But be ware... you may get what you wish for.

The Obama plan will restrict and ration health care and you won't like it.

We went to the polls and gave the democrats a super majority so they should have no hesitancy passing their agenda. We gave them the green light on Nov 4, 2008. All this negotiating, debate and talk of co-ops is loosing them support from their own voters. What they need to do is what we sent them there to do. Get us a public option.

Absolutely! They were sent there to do a job. Worrying about the next election should not play into it. I believe if they get a workable public plan rolled out, we will all benefit, and they will be handily re-elected anyway. All the noise by the right is the death cry of yet another losing political position about to be consigned to the dustbin of history.

I thought saving tax dollars which would lower the deficit and reduct the generational theft was a good thing?

I have learned enough about you through your postings here on the board to understand exactly why you are personally so invested in getting on the government health care program. And I know that those are all problems of your own making.

To be honest, I don't plan to pick the public option because government always comes with red tape. So if I go to the exchange, you can bet I will probably choose a private plan and only go public if there is a huge savings. I don't believe the government option will be all that popular, however, having it there as a option in the exchange will make the private companies be more competitive. The CEO's won't make $11 Million a piece and the industry won't make $45 Billion in profits while average Joe on the plan has to file 3 or 4 times to get a blood test paid. I am going through that now.

In fact, if you read the polls you will see an overwhelming portion of the country feels like I do. Asked if you mind a public plan and 72% says yes. Ask if you would use it 73% said no.

I agree with you that we went to the polls and gave them what they asked of us. Now it is their turn.

But they got the Democrats by the ... arm... They have the power of the words center and bipartisan. I've never seen two words make so many powerful people afraid. Those words had the president himself talking about co-ops might fit his guidelines. If I wanted a co-op, I'd knock on my neighbors doors and start one.

They might as well not pass anything if there is no public option because it will all be a waste of money. Loopholes will be found to make the insurance companies that much more money and they will find more ways to penalize the people for daring to come up against them.

Second: name one facet of our society in which government does a better job than private industry:

• Why are people sending their kids to private schools in droves? Because as a general rule...private enterprise does a better job than government.
• When the phone company was de-monopolized and private industry was allowed to set in...why did your quality go up, and your bill go down? Because as a general rule...private enterprise does a better job than government.
• Why do people from Canada and Britain come here so much to have their medical needs taken care of? Because as a general rule...private enterprise does a better job than government.
• Why do private entities adapt to change and challenges so much better than government entities? Because as a general rule...private enterprise does a better job than government.

Furthermore...

• With a government entity, you have much more of the following headaches:
• Jobs and positions created that when, made obsolete, are not done away with.
• Many, many benefits are offered that prove to be unsustainable (two examples I can think of are GM, and facets of our state retirement system in my state). However, in a free enterprise state (which the Obamanation has nixed)...the private business, making repeated bad decisions in this area, would be allowed to fail. Government just keeps adding money.
• You can't fire anybody. If you do, there's virtually always some form of discrimination that is offered as a reason by the fired. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of power that the government unions (who are allowed even more influence w/officials) have...you end up paying the salary and pension of child molesters while they are in prison (SOURCE).

I could go on all day, but you could get the point. (You won't, but maybe other people, who are willing to learn on this issue, might).

The AARP will NEVER see another dime from me. My parents also have refused to re-enroll. I predict that they will be seriously hurting for members before long.
