Another politician goes down, down, done ...................

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 9) - A Republican state lawmaker from Southern California resigned Wednesday amid growing outrage over a videotape that caught him bragging in graphic detail about having sex with a female lobbyist and another woman.

Later in the article:

Duvall received a 100 percent rating from Capitol Resource Institute, a conservative advocacy group, for his votes on legislation considered pro-family during the 2007-08 legislative session. The institute did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I am surprised that as a Christian you would continue to take such delight in the failings of others.

I know that you enjoy putting up these sorts of articles because you point them out to us with regularity.

Odd that you never seem to find an article about a liberal democrat that fails in a similar manner.

Curious.

Further more, he is on record saying scripture is harder on greed than on sexual sin. Yet he never acknowledges and greedy democrat politician in trouble, only the sexual sin of conservatives.

Hypocrisy abounds.

Mike Duvall was the subject of a recall. He pledged to not raise taxes, yet in the worst economy of 40 years, he voted to raise California taxes, making Californians among the highest taxed in the nation. As a result, Duvall, and others who voted for the increase, were tartgets of recall efforts.

He's from my district, and I'm glad he's gone. I don't care how much of a vamily values man he was.

Please supply me with that message. I really do not believe that I have ever said that. I have said that gluttony is a sin .... but sexual sin is a sin also.

I believe I have said that sin is sin is sin.

When I see where a Democrat has had to resign from office for sexual sin I will post it ... if I can do so ahead of others.

But, you also must remember it is the Republican conservatives who sang the family values song over and over and over .... but many are not able to live up to what they sang.

I do not rejoice over anyone having to resign because of sexual sin. It is sad and always will be sad.

Crabtown said "Another politician goes down... down... down.." Not "Another Republican...." The fact that the politicians Carbtown points out are Republicans doesn't change the reality that we are breeding and bleeding immoral, corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle. I for one think all politicians should be held to a high standard. Yes... it's a little unrealistic to expect people who aren't Christians to behave as if they were. But, if they can't, they shouldn't be allowed in politics.

Irrelevant, except to those who argue against family values. Rational thinking folks understand that even those who do wrong know what's right. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children. . . .*

Conservative values are, admittedly, very high and difficult to attain. It's not surprising that we find men in conservative ranks failing. It's to be expected.

Liberal values, on the other hand, are so low that snakes are above them. Only worms are (reluctantly) turned away from their ranks. Liberals are thieves, murderers, and adulterers, and they legislate accordingly with oppressive, confiscatory, licentious and deadly statutes.

A conservative who fails pays, a liberal who fails is defended and rewarded. It's nearly impossible to fail morally as a liberal. Do they even have any morals?

So why the glee, Crabby? Weren't the deeds committed during his "private time?" Publicly he was ruling well, so what's your beef? Shouldn't you argue for him as I'm certain you argued for Clinton and Lewinsky?

Sorry, but a republic is not just for Christians. There is no religious test for public office, and rightfully so.

I cannot find it, so I will concede the point. Perhaps now you will tell me who you accused me of being bigoted against ?

Do it when you see one in any trouble. You've bypassed a lot of chances.

But, you also must remember it is the Republican conservatives who sang the family values song over and over and over .... but many are not able to live up to what they sang.

And dems claim to fight for the little man, and end up with lots of money in their freezer.

We'll see. I am glad to see him called on this.

Yes, or so you say.

If sin is sin is sin... why is it that you focus so intently on only this one sin?

By voting for the abortionist in chief you obviously have chosen to over look the sin of murdering the unborn.

Why is that exactly?

It's our nature crabtownboy. Conservatives as well as liberals, All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

It pained me to see President Clinton (though I did not vote for him) raked through the coals over and over again even after he had apologized and asked forgiveness publicly several times for his indisgressions.

I also remember one of his (actually I believe it was his wife's statement) campaign promises that - This will be the most moral administration ever - or words to that effect.

Psalm 130:3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

Democrats never resign; not even the sexual perverts. They just keep getting reelected like Barney F Franks.

You have an out CBT. Can you name one democrat who has resigned over sexual sins. Not Even Barney F. Franks whose homosexual mate was running a homosexual prostitution business out of Barney's house resigned. Gary Studs who raped a male page turned his back when censured by the house and received a standing ovation from the democrats.

And of course Clinton wondered what the meaning of is is.
