The more I hear out of these weirdbeards, the more concerned I am.

I think they're just crazy enough to do it.

These guys will be a headache for us. It's Jimmy Carter all over again...

...but this time, they have the Bomb.
Well, they may know how to make a bomb but the only way they could have a bomb is if someone gave it to them (which is indeed possible).

There are nations who are stupid enough to give them what they want.

And there have been rumors that they have successfully caused a critical mass detonation. Israel claims seimological evidence to that end.

Even if they had a bomb it's another convoluted technology to successfully deploy a nuclear device either via missle launch or aircraft.

Still, IMO, the Iran problem is the one most dangerous situations on planet earth. One act of stupidity could trigger WWIII.

Plus the $200 per barrel that would result from an attack on Iran would probably finish off the already weakened U.S. and world economies.

Not sure how true that would be. Aside from the fact that the US imports no oil from Iran, Iran produces about 5% of the world's total production.

1) Oil is fungible. A cut off in supply from one area affects other areas as well.

2) It is not just Iran's 5%(not an insignificant amount) that would be at risk. Iran could very well cut off the Straits of Hormuz and stop a significant amount of the world's oil supply from being shipped out via tankers.

Fungible. You get bonus points for using it :wavey:

If Iran cut off the Strait of Hormuz, they risk alienating their neighbors. Besides, this would be seen as an act of war, not just by us, but by just abotu every country who relies on the Persian Gulf for international trade.

If Iran does this, I say that we cause them to cease to exist as a nation.

Dust...that should remain of their country if they attack us.

1. If Iran is attacked they will blame their reaction on the United States and Israel.

2. Iran is a Persian country, their neighors are Arab countries.

3. Iran is primarily Shiite Muslim, their neighbors(other than Iraq) are mainly Sunni Muslim.

The Shi'ite Muslims have a belief in the return of the 12th Imam to establish a messianic type kingdom. This makes them all the more dangerous with a nuclear weapon.

I suspect that Israel has the capability to shoot down an Iranian missile. Whether they do or not they would probably respond with massive nuclear retaliation, destroying Iran. Who knows what happens next?

Well, as of yet, no one, and I mean no one, has offered evidence that Iran is even attempting to build a nuclear weapon. Everything that Iran has done so far has been within the confines of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed and that Israel, unfortunately, has not signed.

I am not one who believes that Israel is still God's chosen. However if Israel did not have "the bomb" they would cease to exist.

Of course they do play a valuable role for the Arab countries keeping the Palestinians occupied.
