Actually, this is what you said in response to Aaron... "I find it very weird to think that hunters have some twisted sadistic motivation to kill animals. That idea reminds of how serial killers get their start....".
My comment was in reference to this viewpoint.
Besides taking offense at you using mental illness so haphazardly, the fact you use a bow and arrow refutes the notion you do not take pleasure in their suffering, as they ARE GOING TO suffer. You can't play the ignorant game here.
...so you do something knowing it's going to suffer. I rest my case.
red herring. Please follow along in the PURPOSE of this thread...that would help immensely.
Your response can only be characterized in my opinion as ignorance or blind motivation to try to prove unprovable points.
So...when mankind hunted without firearms because they didn't exist...hunting was wrong? An animal killed with a firearm suffers also btw. It is just that they normally die faster because a bullet tends to inflict a more fatal wound than an arrow.
Also, your argument and point fails in that whether a person harvests an animal with a bow or gun, does not mean they take pleasure in the suffering of the animal.
nor is my question about you eating meat a red herring. It is right on topic. An animal you eat must be killed. Whether it is done in mass on a farm, or one-on-one in the woods, if your a meat eater than you are participating in the entire process. If you eat meat, but condemn hunting them, then in my opinion that makes you a hypocrit. The animal slaughtered on a farm suffers from death like an animal hunted in the woods.
In fact, slaughterhouses are often more cruel in their methods than hunting.
The fact remains that your trying to prove that hunters take pleasure in the suffering of the game they seek to take which is absurd.
