On August 14, 1987 a woman, while pregnant, suffered from a life threatening infection with a pathogenic ameoba contacted while doing Christian missionary work in the Philippines. The drugs used to rouse her from a coma and to treat her dysentery caused the fetus to experience a severe placenta abruption. Doctors, expecting a stillbirth, recommended an abortion to save the mothers life. Pam Tebow decided to go full term with the pregnancy and the result was the greatest college football player inn the history of the game. That baby was Tim Tebow.

He was awarded player of the game last night by allsate. he gave credit first to Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. While there is nothing inherently good about him his life is a means to glorify God. I have my doubts that God is done using him.

Nothing funny about abortion, but it reminds me of a cartoon I saw once. A liberal was shaking his fist at the heavens and shouting, "If you were really a loving God, you'd have sent someone to cure AIDS!"

In the next panel, a voice emerges from the clouds and says, "I did send someone to cure AIDS. He was going to be a brilliant scientist who was going to develop a cure for AIDS and other diseases. And then you aborted him!"

I'm very happy that Tim Tebow's mother let him live. Not because he's a great football player and not even because he's someone who has taken a bold stand for the Gospel, but because he is a human being created in the image of God and whom Christ died for. That, in itself, gives his life (and all human life) tremendous worth, and value, and dignity.

That having been said, yes, he is an amazing football player. He was almost good enough to play for Auburn.

I'm not a football fan, but I like Tim Tebow, given that him and I are members of the same church.

I think his mother has the better testimony.

Everyone should know. What if this boy turned out to be an average bricklayer, or a Down Syndrome boy who knitted fabulous sweaters?

Would his mother's decision had been any less noteworthy, or he any less used by God?

Wait until he's dead then maybe you can make that judgment. That's my point.

True. Perhaps God gifted him in the area of sports, in part, to draw attention to his mother's testimony. A testimony that I would have never heard of had he not been famous.

I hope God continues to use him.

His whole family has a fine testimony.

Tim Tebow is a great example of a humble life submitted to Christ. We should all be so blessed to have the same passion and humility to thank Jesus Christ first in nearly every interview.

I really believe he is a fine example of what is happening like crazy in his generation. Millions of evangelical, Christian young people who are fired up for Christ and changing their worlds for God. We don't hear about it a lot, because the popular media doesn't care, but it is happening.

Young people like him give me hope. We are on the precipice of seeing a tremendous generation committed to the Gospel. I am excited and thankful. :D
