I have not seen this yet, but would not be surprised. I suspect that he will 'author' a Massachusetts compromise' to health care reform and that his will be the basis for the bill that will eventually pass. After all, he supports the Massachusetts health care system. He will became the saviour of American health care which will stand him in good stead for a presidential run.

The glee expressed by so many may be short lived. I will go out on a limb and predict that he is not going to be the hero of the American Religious Right that he has appeared to be this week.

He was pretty much elected over this issue. I will be very suprised if this was true. At least as the bill stands. And I, for one, might support a health care bill that has tort reform, the madates removed, and the ban on interstate policies lifted.

This might be what you are talking about.

Scott Brown, the Republican candidate in this Tuesday's special Senate election in Massachusetts, appeared just now on Neil Cavuto's Fox News show, promoting his candidacy and opposing the Democrats' health care program -- and explaining why he supported health care reform in the Massachusetts state Senate.
Cavuto asked Brown why he'd supported an expansion of state involvement in health care, but he's opposing the same thing now. (As we noted, the Massachusetts health care plan passed by the state legislature and signed by then-Gov. Mitt Romney is similar to the Democratic federal plan in many ways, including the individual mandate to purchase health insurance.)

    I hope this works; http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/...care-and-obamacare-two-different-programs.php

I must have missed something because I thought it was the democratic health care plan he was against - not health care reform all together.

You are correct. So many of us are reading more into this man than we should. He now going soul winning on Wednesday nights and so on, no there I go reading more into him than he has said.

He is not a hero to the 'American Religious Right', but to those who oppose ObamaCare (Or PelosiCare to be more accurate). I have read nothing about him being a committed Christian. Nevertheless, if the bill is sunk as a result of his election then I for one am glad of it.

Anybody expecting a politician to be a "savior" of the "Religious Right" needs to go and check the Bible again. ;)

It is way too early to be seeing how this is going to play out. He's a Republican from Massachusetts, which means he is on the endangered species list.
