Ok - let me understand this...

Unemployment at 10%
Mortgage defaults
Homes worth less than we owe on them
A war on two fronts
A sunk economy
Failing automobile manufacturers
A couple of trillion over budget and counting
A massive crushing national debt

And Obama is concerned about gays in the military?

Huh?

 

Hey, cut the "0" some slack; he's got to do something to shift the focus from all his failures!:sleep:

 

then our tax dollars will be paying for homse*uality, housing, medical coverage, and probably more I don't even know, giving legitimacy to homose*ual marriage.

 

Homosexuals want to go to foreign lands and get themselves killed and you all complain? You should be delighted. You rather see red blooded Americans get themselves killed? <G>

 

I'm complaining because they will have to give them housing to live together, and cover the 'partner' for health insurance, all on my tax dollar. Christians paying tax will be paying homose*uals to live together, but some don't mind paying for abortions so I'm sure they won't find a problem with this either.

 

My main concern is that I don't want any of my grandkids in the military. If adding homosexuals to our present mercenary army slows the possibility of a draft, fine with me.

It is claimed that it costs $100K/year to put a pair of American boots on the ground in a foreign war. George Washington did not object to having foreign troops fighting with him. Maybe we could lease Chinese troops for $25K/year and save trillion or so a year. Japanese cars, Chinese troops, what's the difference?

 

I have a great idea--in my opinion anyway. Draft all those who are openlty knwn to be homosexuals and lesbians and let the normal people go home to their families. Let these homosexuals and lesbians fight the wars and die, and that way we don't lose any normal people.

 

This is one of the most ignorant and hateful statements I have ever read on the BB, and that is saying a lot.

 

The military is doing ok without your grandkids, and also without openly gay troops. Not to worry.

An all-volunteer armed forces costs alot more than a conscription army. The alternative is to bring back the draft, but you wouldn't like that. In fact many countries around the world have seen how much more effective the US & UK volunteer armies are and have asked help in establishing their own.
