The latest Rasmussen poll--about 4 in 5 Americans expect Obamareidelosi care to cost "much more" than projected.

Here's a challenge: Show any government program that cost what it was initially projected to cost.

Why do we ever believe these losers in our government?

I saw one of the Dems on TV today. He was asked about the cost estimates.

His answer was that 45,000 people die every year from a lack of health insurance and that no amount of money should stop us from saving them.

Of course that begs the question as to whether this bill will actually save lives or lead to more lives lost.

I also could not help but be struck by the hypocrisy in his feigned concern about life when this bill will also result in the loss of more lives of the unborn - which as a Democrat really cares not a whit for those lives.

I saw a poll on tv that only 38% of people support the health bill, I guess the rest have no right to an opposing opinion if they vote to approve it. Majority apparently means nothing.

We're not a direct democracy, but a democratic republic. If a majority of our representatives support the bill, then it can pass.

How do you feel about the fact that in order to reach that majority of representatives sweet heart deals are being handed out at the expense of the taxpayers.

I saw some politician from New York on the news about an hour ago that said the he was switching from "no" to "yes" because they put in enough money for his State.

How many more deals like that have been made in the last couple of days that I don't and perhaps never will know about?

This one statement sums this whole fiasco up!

Additionally, they (liberals) are &$*#-bent to destroy this nation regardless of the cost, as evidenced by the way they are presently "governing" (HA!!??).:BangHead::mad:

The West Seattle Bridge was finished for less than the winning bid.

There ya go...a bridge in Washington was finished under bid so we should all now use force to make everyone pay for health care. Never mind this was not a "government program".

Social Security is maybe the most successful government program ever. It has kept most American old people out of poverty for 80 years. It sure helped my grandparents and parents.

Hitler's program to get Germany out of the depression almost worked.

Will you still consider it to be a success when the cash flow goes negative and the return on our money put in goes down and down and our taxes continue to go up and up?

    1) This example contains the word "Hitler".

    2) This example contains the word "almost".

    I mean... really?

Time for the bums to go. I'm still alive and have my vote, so they will answer at the ballot box in November- if our Republic lasts that long.

OK, you've got a good point.

But since we're a nation of laws...don't you think some of the procedural garbage going on to get this bill through is outside the bounds?

I mean...we're running out of synonyms for kickback, purchase, bribe, etc.
