Nope...but its like the bullying tactics of the Unions. Sometimes they get caught...sometimes they don't. Doesn't change the fact that it's against the rules and still happens.

the board isn't as moderated as it used to be, some mods never even show up.
the thing to do is to click the report button on post #1 and tell them it's over the limit,

Good point. You would think it should be required that a person be active on the site in order to remain a moderator.

So how does one become a moderator? :saint:

How much does it pay?

    What are the perks? :flower:

It can take a lot of time to moderate a forum.... particularly if the same moderator is having to cover several places at once.

Although rules are usually strictly enforced.... ocassionally a rule like the length of a thread is waived due to the interest the thread is drawing both from membership views and participation and also the interest shown by visitors (guest/ non-members) on the board.

Shutting down a thread by simply counting pages is the easy decision. The time consumming is having to read all the active threads to cull out the ocassional ones that break the rules of polite engagement, having to enter post to delete words or improper comments...... and having to read threads to see if topic is still active and if attacks within are a balanced back and forth.... or singularly abusive and disruptive to the purpose of discussion.

Besides, its the Season of Celebrating the Resurrection and moderators have a life, too.
(LadyEagle used to moderate..... but her computer went down. That happens sometimes... too.)
