On another thread I was criticized for writing that people should keep their mouths shut. keeping quiet was equated to lying. (I don't know how to communicate with people who can't understand English)

You all should learn that anything published on the web is PUBLIC. She made her bed . . . I've had my butt chewed in the press. It is an interesting and educational process.

Any person who considers being given a Bible by a student as a gift to be a hate crime should not be a teacher. I would feel the same way if it was a Christian teacher reacting that way to being given an atheist book. Anyone who has such hostility toward the beliefs of others is not fit to intstruct children.

Btw, imagine what would have happened if it had been a Muslim student who gave her a Koran and she reacted that way. The suspension would be the least of her problems.
