What if you and I woke up in the morning and in turning on our radio, TV, or computer the major news story was, that Israel had launched a preemptive strike against Iran and their leaders, over their nuclear pursuits. What would your thoughts be and what would you feel emotionally?

Honestly? (I'll probably get blasted for this by someone, but I'll say it anyway.) I'd just go on about my day like normal and not give it much thought.

I'd think it was about time. Iran has had it coming for a while now.

I would think it to be a perfectly reasonable and understandable action given that Israel has a right to protect itself from the agression of it's neighbors - especially since they know that the currrent U.S. regime won't have their back.

That's what I wanted to say but figured I'd just get blasted again for "blaming Obama" for everything.

The responses so far have agreed with my own. Life goes on, as has been said, and I think Israel has every right to protect her sovereignty. My only wish is that America would become more pro-Israel and a stronger ally, like we once were, realizing Israel's importance to us in the region. Also, we need to remember to take into account the Biblical perspective for their State and people.

I would say "Way to go, Israel! We're really sorry that Emperor Obama stabbed you in the back, but you have a lot of Americans who support your right to defend yourself. Now bomb Iran and bomb them and bomb them again. Do to Iran what your ancestors did to those who threatened them."

When I am elected, one of my first foreign policy decisions will be to declare that an attack on Israel is an attack on the United States.

It doesn't matter who the President is. I'd be sorry for those who died, but each country has a responsibility to guarantee the peace and safety of their citizens. I'd understand why Israel did it and believe they are correct in their response.

Jewish leaders didn't take seriously the promises of Hitler. The result was the holocaust. The promises of Iran and their leaders are the same and ought to be taken seriously by Israeli leaders.

I would be terrified for the United States. Then happy I've finished my service. I'll explain. If Israel attacked I ran the middle east would blow up. America would be blamed Pakistan would shut down the united states in their country and our troops in Afganistan would be isolated because all air space would be denied by every nation surrounding it. The Indian Government would attempt to stay neutral but not permit us carriers off indian shores. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would shut down diplomatic connection with the united states. Russia, China, would side with the Iranians against israel and the United states. The EU would boycott he United States and kick us out. Even though it wasn't our fault we would be immediately isolated and a coalition of countries would attack the now weakend united states. Israel would barely survive but be holden to diplomatic ties with the Russians. Though the United States will say it had nothing to do with it we would still be blamed. And Obama to calm everyone down will give away our country to UN goverment.

Under our previous leadership I'd start getting ready to deploy to that region but, with our current socialist regime, I'd cheer for Israel but that would probably be all.:BangHead:

I'd pray no innocents were killed.
I'd pray for cool heads to prevail in the aftermath.

And I'd be grateful that someone...anyone....France, Federated States of Micronesia, Malawi, Quebec, the Jamaican Bobsled team....doesn't matter...would take out Iran's nuclear threat. :tongue3:
