Woody Allen says President Obama should be grated dictatorial powers (seriously)

Woody Allen has a strange take on the democracy that allowed him to become rich and famous.

The "Scoop" director said it would be a cool idea for Barack Obama to be dictator for for a few years.

Why?

So he could get things done without all the hassle of opposing views getting in the way.

Why are we worried about what Woody Allen has to say?

Because there are a lot of people in this country who probably agree with Woody Allen -- many of them Democrat politicians! Quite a few of them are in our Congress and Senate now, too!

Who in Congress advocates dictatorial powers for the president? We need to know quickly because there are primaries tomorrow and in the next few weeks.

Wow - not sure. And even if they did, I don't think that amendment is imminent.

Woody Allen is a pervert.

So he's a pervert. Why are we still worrying about whatever he says?

That was my point.

I see. Cool.

This is always a tough call.

It's a shame to give a crackpot, pervert, moron, etc., any publicity. That can just legitimize their position.

However, there's a time in which stupid ideas must be pointed out as stupid--and we must be able to articulate why they are such bad ideas.

Knowing when to speak up, and when to ignore--wisdom helps, eh?

By the way, can I borrow a cupful? :D :D

Scarier is when the President himself says it...like when Dubya said, "It'd be a whole lot easier if it were a dictatorship...long as I'm the dictator."
