Well, the obvious solution is that the government should be providing free pet sitting for census workers (and all other government employees).

The census worker probably took the dog along as protection and hopefully didn't realize what the dog would do. Had it been me that got bit, I would sue the census worker and anyone else I could and demand that the dog be put to sleep. Dogs that dangerous don't need to be around people. Of course, do they know for sure that the one bitten didn't threaten the census worker? The dog might have simply been defending its owner.

That's not a question that the census is allowed to ask.

They can only ask: how many dogs live there, what is the dog's race, does the dog rent or own, what is the dog's race, what is the dog's race, and what is the dog's race.

That's it - execpt they can also ask, "What is the dog's race?"

No, no, no, Targus! They can also ask if the dog is "of Hispanic descent"! That's the most important question on the form!

(Hmpth, they let this guy take his dog but wouldn't let me carry my Judge. Stupid gun control advocates! At least I'd have been in control of my gun it wouldn't just go off without my pulling the trigger!)

Yeah, don't you just hate it when people who's job it is to subvert the Constitution don't get to exercise their Constitutional rights?
