In Crabby's world:

When it is a Republican - behavior matters.

When it is a Demoncrat - behavior doesn't matter.

Not true at all. But the Dems have never bragged about being the family values party. The Republicans raised that pistol and then many shot themselves when it became know of their moral transgressions, showing they were not family values at all.

Behavior matters regardless of political affiliation. However, the more one brags the harder is the fall when the feet of clay are exposed.

Are you saying we can excuse Republicans behavior as they claim they are supporters of family values?

So in your world the failing of one member of a group disqualifies the whole group?

You keep saying that but then you never seem to care to acknowledge the actual failings of the other political affiliation.

Your words and your actions don't match either.

Perhaps it would be best if you didn't throw stones then.

Don't see where I have said anything to suggest such a thing.

Perhaps you can point it out.

Much less than you do. By the way, have you noticed how many of the Republicans who signed the Pledge to America are out of office in disgrace?

Sure, there are bad apples on both sides. But the side that brags and then fall looks much worse. It is called hypocrisy.

Just did in the last post and this one. Guess you missed it.

I don't believe you know anything about my actions. ROFL

Oh, I am nothing compared to you. ROFL

You implied it. Why don't you call out about Reps like you do Dems.

You really are most amusing.

Only your mind would manage to correlate a desire for smaller government and moral failure.

Pitiful reasoning skills. Monumentallly pitiful.

I didn't realize the TV program, 'Family Guy,' is about smaller government. I thought it was about a dysfunctional family.

Hey, maybe Rush fits. I mean how functional or dysfunction is being in his 4th marriage?

Yes - which is why I am pointing out your hypocrisy.

We'll get to that again below.

Just did in the last post and this one. Guess you missed it.

You have started numerous threads about Republicans that fail to live up to the standard - but you have yet to start any about Democrats that exhibit even worse behavior.

Democrats that make it a point to want to legalize the same immoral behaviors that you criticize Republicans for.

I know about what you write here - and what you write is not consistent with your actions.

You SAY that political party affiliation does not matter where it comes to failing to adhere to moral standards - but your ACTIONS are different.

You only point out the failings of Republicans - and that is HYPOCRISY.

Oh, I am nothing compared to you. ROFL

Perhaps that is true - but how sad of you to think so poorly of yourself. :tongue3:

Actually, I agree with Crabbys reasoning on these issues.

I will NOT vote for Newt Gingrich- period. He is a hypocrite. Twice he cheated on his wife, than married the mistress.

As Crabby said - The Republicans preach family values. then (some) do the opposite.

I will not vote for a liberal who will not uphold family values, but you cant denounce him as a hypocrite.

The above exchange is a perfect example of why it is impossible to have an intelligent exchange with Crabby.

He never knows what anyone is talking about.

No. Help me out. How many ? Who are they ? What did they do ?

Also, I cannot find where the official G.O.P. platform was ever officially stated as "The Party of Family Values". I have heard a lot of liberals claim they did. Could you show me where ?

Thanx, in advance .

I am more than happy to show you.

Click here for the official GOP Platform (note- it is in PDF format)

Go to page 53 of the book (pg 60 of the pdf file) and I think many conservatives will be glad to see a section entitled "Preserving Our Values" ( actually starts on pg 51 / 58 )

Exactly which value is violated by cartoon voice-over work?

With this, and his hiring of Elton John for his wedding, I would say el-Rushbo reaches out to the other side more than prez zero does.

How is hiring a singer and appearing on an impolite (and often very funny) cartoon show reaching out to the other side?

If I had a million dollars, I might hire Elton John. And with another million, I'd hire Billy Joel and they could both sing "Your Song."

I'd rather hire Weird Al for $100,000 and have him parody BOTH of them. I haven't liked anything Elton John has done since 1974, and I have always hated Billy Joel's "music".

Yup. 2008, it's too bad we couldn't let C.T.Boy find it. Perhaps he's busy finding all those disgraced republicans ?

Still, the words "family values" appear twice in that document, and even C.T.Boy couldn't twist the context, in either case, to mean what he is claiming.

Billy Joel is one of the best musicians in popular music. Though he doesn't have a music degree, he understands a great deal about music theory.

I don't recall defending Rush. Too arrogant for me, anyhow.

But let me help you, since you seem to be struggling: you made a point. I refuted it. You, seeing your point crashing in a spectacular ball of flame, quickly changed the subject--to one I had never addressed. This is much like your "homework" tactic--only even less successful.

That is opinion, mostly. And Liberace understood music theory, too. I don't like Billy Joel. Deal.

I'm not saying you have to like him. I'm just saying putting the word "music" in quotations implies something other than fact, which is that Billy Joel is a fantastic musician.
