It is sort of difficult to weigh through some of this stuff, but based on the account he should be behind bars. Now he like Tom Delay claims he is innocent so in all reality he should be taken before a jury to decide his outcome with possible prison time if the law so requires. Since he is accused of taking money he should not have taken he should be fined the amount he is accused of taking and if need be required to sell everything he has to repay.

Actually, the article said 13 charges, but they all seem such insignificant ones compared to the more serious crimes criminals are doing.

Because he's a democrat, and a member of the federally protected class, it would be racist to allow him to be convicted of any crimes. [\sarcasm]

Should we only punish politicians who break the law? How about speeders and those who run stop signs? Everyone who works under the table is breaking a federal law.
