I know this will not satisfy the true Obama haters. I did find it interesting it was ruled a frivolous lawsuit.

I don't understand why this is so complex. If he would produce a birth certificate or some sort of documentation there would be nor more dispute. I'm not a Obama supporter by any means but I doubt he was born out of country.

You can view his birth certificate online. He was born in Hawaii. His mother was a US citizen. It was a ridiculous law suit and the SC has confirmed this. I suppose the fine of $20,000 will now have to be paid. I hope others will ridiculous ideas will learn from this.

    Come on now, Mr. Magoo.

Don't tell me that you are actually able to read the "birth certificate" that your link leads to.

I can't read it at all.

Do you ever wonder why someone doesn't release the actual long form birth certificate?

"Three weeks into his term, newly elected Gov. Neil Abercrombie told The New York Times that with regard to the birthers, he is "going to take care of that."

He said he is talking with the state attorney general's office and the director of the Health Department to see how he can release more information about the president's birth. The confidentiality of birth records is protected by state law."

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/27/obama-birth-certificate-requests_n_801508.html

    I don't get it.

The Governer and the State Attorney General of Hawaii can't get a copy of the birth certificate?

Shouldn't this just be a matter of public record?

Doesn't the Freedom of Information Act cover this?

Why is it such a big deal to see a copy of a birth certificate that is required as a matter of law in order to be President?

It has been on the net for quite a long time now. If you take time you can find one you can read.

It is academic anyway, his mother was a citizen, thus he was and is regardless of where he was born. By the way, the last time I checked Hawaii was and is part of the US.

If it is on the internet someone should tell the Govenor and State Attorney General of Hawaii - because they can't find it either.
So you say - a little proof would be nice.

Why do you think is the reason that the actual long form birth certificate has not been released?

Why do you think is the reason that not even the Gov and Attorney General of Hawaii can see a copy?

Even if next week they proved he was born in Kenya or somewhere outside of the US, what would that mean? Joe Biden? I don't think that would be an improvement.

Long form birth certificate? What on earth are you talking about? There is NO long form birth certificate from that time period!

My own ORIGINAL birth certificate from Michigan is HAND WRITTEN, has no certification stamp and gives very little information beyond my parent's names, their address at the time, my mother's maiden name, and my date/time of birth and the name given to me. That is IT! There is no longer form. This is all you get.

Birthers are wasting their time and money.

btw, I was born in 1964.

Show me proof that a long form ever existed.

Anyway a short form is legal. I've used mine. I have never seen a "long form" for my birth. I don't know if there were in existence when I was born. Does that mean I was not born in Virginia ... where my short form birth certificate is on record?

Maybe the fine should be $200,000 for this frivolous lawsuit.

No, it is simply either very ignorant people or people so blinded by their hatred they cannot give it up. They are like the Russian saying, "It is like a rat stuck in a dog's throat and he can't cough it out."

The court is right in fining them for a frivolous lawsuit. If there was any merit at all to the case this would not have been done ... no fine.

It is time for some sanity in our political system on both sides.

I am not sure who blacked the number out as there is at least one image on the web showing the number. When I chose the one I posted I figured they were all blacked out. Seems I was wrong. The one I found with the number showing pastes so large on this page that I deleted it. Do a Google search on Obama birth certificate and click on images ... you can view it numerous times there. All of the images I viewed, except one, had the number blacked out.

Would that include the Governor and the State Attorney General of Hawaii?

Because they are looking for it too.

Would that include Chris Matthews because he too recently called for Obama to release his birth certificate.

Why do you think that Obama is unwilling to do so?
