Right - which is exactly why you disappear from discussions that you start here when they don't go as you planned.

Wouldn't it be nice if people would only post links that didn't require membership or interminable ads... :tonofbricks:

CTB still has his gun sights on Palin. Cross hairs. Or whatever.

If this incident in AZ didn't happen, the liberals wouldn't have much to say about this. That the naivetes take this to the extreme, that she would endorse murder, is more of a commentary on them, not on her, to those who are prudent.

This example of rhetoric and hypocrisy reaffirms to me as to why I am not a dem, socialist, or liberal.

I wonder what would happen to us if everything bad we've ever done was on the web, or at the very least, one embarrassing thing, and reposted over and over, and by those who won't and can't forgive?

The death threats this woman is getting must make the left all warm & fuzzy. Just look at the glee on this board over her getting what they must feel she deserves.

I agree - while his tone is deceptively reasonable - the negative and critical content and the excessive repetitativeness of it should qualify as hate speech. :tear:

I wish that he would be more civil.

I wonder, is this hatred, being expressed in their glee over her death threats, the same murderous fruit that condemns such persons who have it to the extent it does in 1 John 3:15?

Which he always does, thus proving my point: never send a crabtownboy to do a crabtownman's job.

The people who are sending her death threats are obviously being influenced by Glenn Beck.

You bring up a great point. If something awful happens to her will C.T.Boy denounce Kieth Olbermann ? He sure hasn't yet. Perhaps he's waiting for someone to act on the rage people like the morons on MessNBC are stirring up.

No doubt the response would be that she brought it on herself.

Charles Krauthammer,
Couldn't help notice that Crabtownboy likes to post links. Here's one that should be considered.

I can't understand the support for Palin. What she did was in poor taste plain and simple. I don't think God would condone putting someone in "cross hairs". Besides politicians are defined by one letter behind their name. Once people see that letter chances are they are immediately a non supporter or a supporter. We as baptists aren't even that loyal to each other but republicans and democrats sure are, for the most part.

I'm not a Palin supporter. I wouldn't vote for her to be president. As a matter of fact, if she runs, in my opinion, she will ensure the democrats a victory.

The attacks on her is what I am talking against.

The cross hairs poster is just being taken to the extreme. The dems have found something they love to find, a point the finger attack, and the naive believe everything they tie to it.

I think that the original site should remain at least for a year or so and gradually change if felt needed. That way it would not look like they were accepting blame. No matter what the site did not spur this guy to murder. it is all on him.

Taking it down would be respectful, not accepting blame. Blame can only be placed on the individual. Regardless of why he did it or what causes him to do it, he did it. That can't be changed and no amount of blame can fix anything.

This is exactly the "gotcha" politics that the left loves to manufacture...

First they get to decide what is offensive and what is not.

Then no matter what the response is they feign further offense.

Take it down and it is an admission of guilt.

Leave it up and it is further offense.

Leftists have perfected the catch22 of the politics of personal destruction.

“So, Michele, slit your wrist! Go ahead! [chuckles] I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone.”
— Montel Williams talking about Representative Michele Bachmann on Air America’s Montel Across America, September 2, 2009.

“I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.”
— Host Bill Maher on his HBO show Real Time, March 2, 2007, discussing how a few commenters at a left-wing blog were upset that an attempt to kill Vice President Cheney in Afghanistan had failed.

Wish I could find it, but can't remember where I saw it...but a liberal blog removed its own threatening messages before posting admonitions against the "right" for its vitriolic speech.

I suspect that the reason the White House and the liberal media are playing the blame-the-conservatives game so boldly is because that after the losses of the last election, they realize that it's do or die time (oops, violent rhetoric!) if they want the fairness doctrine reinstated. Palin, Beck, conservative talk radio, and Fox are in the way, and it's too bad those folks in Tuscon are being used as pawns.

As for the nasty tone of politics these days, I ask when was it different? It has been this way since the founding of this nation.
