...especially in light of the derisive propaganda that was launched at folks that wondered aloud about "healthcare rationing:"

Cancer sufferers refused life-extending drugs despite Government pledge: "Dying cancer patients have been refused life-extending drugs on 'cost grounds,' despite a government promise to end the 'scandal' forever."

So...maybe Great Britain could offer us some pointers as we dive head-first into the shallow waters of socialized medicine. People that are sick and/or dying with cancer are discovering that they're being lied to...and that their existence has been assigned a price tag by some bureaucrat.

Remember...not only were we assured that wouldn't happen here, but the intelligence (sanity, morals, and honesty) of any that wondered about the possibilities of such were immediately called into question.

Gee...it seems that maybe we weren't as far off base as we thought. And the concern? It's not just that we're being "priced" like garage sale items...it's that we once again run into the stunning revelation that upon being "outed" for failures, government proves itself LESS capable (or willing...or both) than the private sector to right a wrong.

And I can't imagine the administration of an Eric Holder, Kathleen Sebellius, or Janet Napolitano doing any better. (remember...why should it be a big deal to off a few expensive people? After all...as long as you do it before 9 months are up, you can kill a baby for simply being too expensive. If you play your cards right, you can even get the government to help pay for the baby's killing! What's the difference iwth a terminal cancer patient?)

None. Once innocent babies are discarded as not valuable, it's just a skip and a jump away from killing the terminally ill. The next "skip and jump" will be the elderly, mentally handicapped, then physically handicapped. It's a very slippery slope.
