Was the first thing that came to mind. I thought we just ripped a little hole in the middle of one square, wipe said anus with finger, and use said TP to clear finger.

So if TP gets taxed, those phone books that keep showing up on my front porch will come in handy.

Sears catalogs are too glossy, and I don't trust the ink on the phone books.

Seriously, I'm reading of more and more women making "family cloth" to help conserve money and the environment. I've not tried it myself, but there are directions for sewing flannel squares together, using for #1, and tossing in a bucket, similar to a diaper pail, then washing as laundry.

I'm sorry, but there's not way I would want to reuse toilet wipes even if they have been neatly hand sewn. The idiot that came up with this tax needs to get a life and quit trying to find crappy (pun intended) ways to gouge the citizens of the United States. We need to be eliminating taxes rather than creating more of them.

Where does it end Robert? Who is going to collect this tax? Will a new government agency have to be created to implement this new program? Will new IRS agents have to be hired to enforce it? What other new laws will have to be enacted to make sure the money is funneled to the right place? And again, what other new creative taxes will Uncle impose on us?

This gives us remarkable insight into Snow's frame of mind.

He probably jumped up and down and said "yippee!" when said tax was announced.

Amazing. I truly believe Snow would be happiest in a totalitarian state (provided he was on the "right" side).

The best way to protest this tax: Each person affected by said tax, send in our money from the TP sales. But...
  • Send it in cash, after purchase.
  • Send the tax to Washington--wrapped up in used TP. Hey...if the IRS insists we keep receipts...then we probably should offer proof we actually paid the tax for the...er..."product." That would raise a stink. :eek:
I think the IRS would appreciate such a thorough and diligent gesture from US taxpayers.

Here's an idea: Why not tax us on the number of miles we drive for toilet paper?

And back on the TP issue...what if you get food poisoning? Will there be a surcharge for an "active day" of "using taxable resources?"

What if you go on an all-cheese diet? Will the IRS penalize you for "underpayment?"

Inquiring minds want to know...
