CBO on the Stimulus: "A net negative effect..."

This is a great post and touches on what I have said in another post, if we try to boost aggregate demand without first encouraging savings then we are actually harming the economy.

There were several reports which stated that we would have been better off today without Obama's or Bush's stimulus package. This is further confirmation that merely boosting aggregate demand is a foolish policy.

We would have been better off letting the firms fail, hiring all their former employees, and putting the money (used in bailouts) for infrastructure improvements.

Or just give the American public the cash per household.

There is only one candidate on the ballot that will not use forms of stimulus to control the economy. There has not been a true conservative Republican nominee in my lifetime. Perhaps the closest is Reagan, but still there has not been one.

Yup. I went with Chuck Baldwin last time.

And you are quite correct. All of the frontrunners are capitulants. They will need to raise revenue just as bad a team zero does.
