A cousin I haven't seen or spoken to in years sent me a package yesterday. The package contained 3 bumper stickers that read:

A vote for a Demoncrat is a vote for the Devil!

The bumper sticker had a red and blue "O" at the left, and a black pointed tail at the right. The word "Democrat" had an "n" inserted into the word to read "Demoncrat."

Seriously, would any of you place such a bumper sticker on your car? While I hate everything the democrats represent, and I strongly dislike Obama, I found this sticker very offensive and un-Christlike. How can we effectively witness to people while calling the president the devil?

I wouldn't have anything to do with such a bumper sticker but that is not why they hate anyone.

It is offensive. This type of bumper sticker will ensure that some would never vote for a Republican candidate as they see this as a completely unfounded bumper sticker. It also does great damage to the image of Christians.

Maybe not, but it sure does nothing to help foster a good image for conservatives. It just gives the left more reasons to point fingers and yell "hypocrite!"

It also might give someone a bad excuse to bash the window's out of someone's car, at least where I live in a democrat-and-union-run state.

Unfortunately there are Westboro type folks out there. I have never seen such a sticker and I doubt they are very prevalent.

If someone puts that on their car they deserve a busted window for stupidity.

(not really but you get my point)

I know, because we NEVER have to deal with hateful stickers from liberals. The left was completely respectful of Bush.

I don't get your point. Are you saying somebody's bumper sticker could make them less of a victim ?

There is a freedom of speech in America. We should be above being offended by bumper stickers.

No, we al know what we should be. But we also know that some are not always as they should be. The sticker is unnecessary and offensive and anyone who uses such a stupid thing should be prepared for some blowback. As a Christian is this really necessary?

Also did you read what I put in in parenthesis?

I comletely disagree. You should be able to live free of fear. No matter what your bumper stickers say. And yes, i did read it, but still am pretty surprised you would say something like "the victim had it coming", in any context.

I don't like things like that - from either side. It just shows a lack of love for one's neighbor and frankly a little ignorance.

One can vehemently disagree and challenge another's views without tactics like that.

It is another sign that both parties are out of touch, out of control, and hopefully, out of time.
