Black Pastors Condemn Obama

The unanswered question is, will President Obama's support for gay marriage cost him the votes of those black pastors and their members?

I don't think we can automatically assume that the answer is "yes."

I guess only time will tell.

I'm sure that regardless of what Obama says or does between now and November, quite a number of blacks will continue to support their "Messiah."

Just as there are many whites who, no matter what, would never support him because he is their 'antichrist.'

BIG difference here is that white conservative Christians opposse him ONLY due to his antichrist viewpoints, while Black Christian support him still in spite of them!

Same sex marriages are more popular among white Christians than black.

http://www.wsmv.com/story/18370872/black-christians-divided-over-same-sex-marriage

A Pew Research Center poll conducted in April found that 49 percent of African-Americans oppose legalized same-sex marriage, compared with 39 percent who support it.

Among whites, by contrast, Pew found that 47 percent supported gay marriage, while 43 percent opposed it.

Even more astounding is that 70% of African Americans supported the California ban on same sex marriage.

In California, 70 percent of African-Americans supported Prop 8, the 2008 state gay marriage ban, even though 94 percent of black voters in California backed Obama.

This is an interesting quote. I don't know if Obama openly endorsed same sex marriages at this time, so that could account for the perceived contradiction here.

Only time will tell, but I believe Obama's open support of same sex marriage will hurt him this time, how much, nobody knows.
