DOJ Secretly Drops Terrorism Charges In Taliban Case

    June 19, 2012

The Department of Justice (DOJ) refuses to explain why it has abruptly dropped terrorism charges against a member of a Middle Eastern family indicted in south Florida last year with providing material support for the Pakistani Taliban.

In all, six people were charged with sending tens of thousands of dollars to the terrorist organization, which is associated with Al-Qaeda and has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks against American interests, including a 2009 suicide bombing at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan. The ringleader in this case is a Pakistani imam (Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan) who ran a mosque in Miami. The others include his sons, daughter and grandson.

If it's such a "secret" then why do we know about it?

    Because of Judicial Watch.

The DOJ made no announcement. They obviously didn't want to make it public.

They dropped the charges against ONE person in an ongoing case and are withholding comment at the moment.
There never appears to have been any secret about the charges themselves being dropped against this particular person.
What's the problem you're having? How would like them to handle this? What would make you happy and sounds like a better way to keep the investigation from being tainted while providing you with the information you seem to feel you deserve immediate access to?

I was not aware that the DOJ is required to provide the public with reasons for what they do.

    That's right.

An explanation is in order, especially from this DOJ.

They have a habit of selectively enforcing the law depending on skin color and sexual preference. Holder's terrorist sympathies are well known and documented, as well.

Holder's crew simply can't be trusted. They're rotten from the top down.

DOJ: "We've decided to drop charges against Irfan Khan because further investigation revealed that Mr. Khan was under duress when he wired money to Al Queda operatives--his children were being threatened with their lives--and furthermore, Mr. Khan is going to testify against his own father."

< The next day Mr. Khan and family are found dead by ritualistic Al Queda killing technique. Without his testimony, entire case falls apart. >

    Baloney.

This is the same Holder that wants to try Guantanamo detainees in open court in New York.

    He's a terrorist sympathizer.
