I'm still wondering why Obama has been silent on all of the gun violence going on in Chicago.

Doesn't he have some sort of ties with Chicago?

Depends on why he's there. If he's going to comfort the community, then Bravo! If he is playing politics in the vein of "never wasting a good crisis", then he should stay away.

In about 2 weeks , the anti gun nuts will be out in earnest. I predict Obama will lead the charge.
