If that tax is only for the wealthy, I have no problem with it; the wealthy can afford it. Of course, that money will probably just be used to give the politicians a HUGE pay increase--just as the US politicians give themselves HUGE raises every year, while taking it from the rest of us. It's reverse Robin Hood--take from the poor and needy and give to themselves.
