I find it kind of sad when the leaders of both major parties condemn a private organisation like the Boy Scouts of America for their choice to not alliow h0m0sexual members.

This is one issue I disagree with Romney. Unfortunately, it would be very hard to find anyone that would agree with every single issue.
Would be interesting to see what Mr. Ryan thinks about this.

A few years ago the Chancellor of Syracuse University, Nancy Cantor would no longer allow the Boy Scouts to use the Carrier Dome for their annual dinner. I immediately sent a small donation to the BSA on behalf of Miss Cantor. BTW, I did send her a cc! Need to do it again this year.

That's what makes it so bad - these statements are electioneering. Romney can't lose because no matter he says he will keep the religious vote and he may pick up a few pro-g@y votes with his stance.

That's why they're politicians. They can get votes from corpses if they say the right things.

The Boy Scouts use public facilities for their meetings.

They also use a lot of churches. And I'm sure a lot of other churches will gladly step forward if the use of public facilities becomes an issue.
