http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/08/17/iran-calls-israel-existence-insult-to-all-humanity/ I have a strange feeling about this.

Israel is currently passing out gas masks to everyone in the country. They don't do that for no reason.

True. The last time was in '91 prior to the gulf war. Something may be on the horizon...but they are saying it will take 3 years to hand them all out.
The other factor in this is Israel taking out Iran's nuclear sites. This has been an issue for quite a while. Israel is perfectly capable of doing this plus pretty much destroying the country. They certainly have no hesitency in carrying it out if they think an attack is imminent. There is no second guessing and delay like we are so famous for.
The leadership of Iran is not real bright, they do not care about their citizens, or both. If I knew I had an enemy that could wipe me out, I believe I would maintain a low profile and keep my mouth shut. For sure, if I was going to attack Israel, I would not be announcing it to the newspapers.
Jedi, I do not know why, but my gut feeling about this time is different than the times before. Hope we are wrong.
The only appearing he is going to see is the return of Jesus Christ, if he lives that long.Since about April I've had that feeling. We are in exciting times...imagine being in the generation who doesn't see death! With 3 young children I'm only hoping its any moment.
Wondering if this will result in the peace treaty being formed by th AC. I always thought the treaty would just be normal negotiations that have been taking place for years and never seriously considered it could be the result of strategic military action.
Irans leaders know what they are doing. Ahm-a-nutjob believes he can hasten the appearing of the 12th and final Imam who fits the description of the AC to a "t".
There are many innocent people in Iran who suffer
I am not saying one may reason with an unreasonable mad man. Where do you see that? There are other ways short of going in and killing millions of innocents.Israel has nukes and hasn't sworn to wipe Iran of the map. Your logic has holes. Can you Magnet have a rational talk to Mr Ahmadinejad?

Which brings up a moral question. Is it acceptable to do pre-emptive, targeted assassination of the heads of state because they may pose a future threat?
Of course. Invasion or full out attack is a last resort. So far, Iran is just chest thumping. Can you justify invading a sovereign nation that has not done anything against Israel yet?Would you say innocents on BOTH sides?
I don't get the significance of the question in this context. We are talking geopolitics, not theology. And did Jesus die so the MANY could live?

I do indeed need that second cup! [_]D :thumbsup:Did you ask a moral question? Might get a second cup of coffie Mag!:type:

However, the moral question was in regard to assassination of a political leader, not about Jesus willingly dying to redeem souls. I don't think Iran's leadership is anything at all like Christ.
Okay, I'll give you that politics won't answer a moral question. But I still don't see the connection of Jesus willingly giving up for others and the morality of a targeted assassination. You still miss the point......princapls are in Scripture and you had a moral question...right? Are you looking to political realm for that solution to moral question?
