More despair over the slaughter of over a million children a year.

That would have been the case whoever won.

Yeah, C4K, changing that would have to happen over time, but now that fight won't even begin for at least 4 more years. We now have more abortion-rights judges and appointees in our near future. Those of us against abortion at all costs will be forced to pay for it. Let's not forget that a few years ago, we were one Justice away from banning partial-birth abortion. Now we have laws requiring doctors to kill babies that survive abortion thanks to this president.

This nation will not get away with mass murder. I hate to think of the reckoning that will inevitably come.

The world is a better place tonight. The road forward will be difficult, but we can make things better.

Remember this, Lot was taken from Sodom before the fire fell and Noah was safe in the ark as the flood waters cleansed the earth. Father may rain judgement around us but his own he will provide for as he promised. Then again, most nations crumble from corruption within - a spectacular judgement may not be necessary.
I hope that the fallout of these coming years may yield repentance in America's people.

I disdain your impugning upon C4K's motives for speaking what he sees to be the truth. Like it or not, Romney was about as likely to stop the murders of unborn children as the President is. The chances of that issue coming before the Supreme Court again and being voted down are zilch and zero regardless in the current political environment. Abortion rights is a nice political football for the Republicans to toss up in the air every few years but that is about it.

That being said, how DO we change this?

Our sole hope is the preaching of the Gospel. Christ is the answer, not the politics of Mitt, Paul, or Ron. We need to be working with the younger generation to teach them God's way.

When Christ rules in their hearts, the tide will turn. And not before.

My Pastor stated to the whole congregation that we needed to vote
by biblical principles. Obama placates and dislikes Israel, that's a strike.
He respects same sex marriage, another strike. He supports government
paying for abortions here and ABROAD - another strike!

Romney would allow abortions in case of rape or incest, which is less
than 1% of all abortions. Romney supports traditional marriage.
    Romney supports Israel.

In most games, 3 strikes, you are out. In the US, he is a winner.

    Lord help us.

It was interesting to hear the student's take on the elections. The majority are pro-Obama, so there was a happy mood at the high school today, though some teachers seemed pretty disgruntled!

Many students asked my opinion. Normally, that's a question I'd gracefully speak my way out of answering, but since the election is over, I felt free to go ahead and tell them "neither." LOL I think that took a lot of them by surprise. For the students who didn't hear me go over it a few weeks ago, I was able to teach them a bit about how things work, how our founders didn't want ANY political parties to begin with, and how we now have MANY political parties, not just two.

Since I didn't care for either of them, I'm just sitting back observing the reactions and such. This is the first time I've been in this position and it definitely makes things interesting!

Although...I really was shocked that Obama won. I didn't expect that. It seems the majority of people I've talked to who voted for him did so on an emotional basis rather than a logical one.

I'd love to see if the number of young voters in this election jumped a lot higher than it has in previous elections. Hrm. I'm thinking it has...

I wouldn't depend on the church doing anything but teaching the youth to pay homage to Caesar because the church has placed the tax man as head of the church over Jesus. The church also teaches that we have to obey every illegitimate law and every illegitimate authority of the state. First thing WE have to do is to reject these unbiblical teachings and demand our leaders live up to their oath.

It's our duty to hold all these leaders accountable both in the church and the state. Until we start doing that we might as well be blowing smoke.

No, I don't work at the college anymore. This is high school. Some are old enough to vote, some aren't. It's still, imo, a relatively decent way to see how the younger voters think as, again imo, it doesn't seem like a lot of change happens in political mindsets between 18 and...mmmm, probably through mid-twenties.

I think that you need to find a new church.

    Why do you stay?

Well I only view my 21 YO son & his friends.....mostly working class kids & they are all sound independents with no love for either party. If they have any political bias it would probably be libertarian with folks like Ron Paul leading the charge....but seriously, none of these kids have any love for BO & crew. They see right through him. Conversely they think Romney is an ass (with that 47% commentary...that is what killed any support he may have gotten from that particular demographic).
