With all of this in mind… Here's a round-up of the top ten reasons today's jobs report is awful news, not good news.

    1. In October, the LFP was 63.8%. This month it dropped to 63.6%. This means a whopping 542,000 people dropped out of the workforce in just one month and explains almost entirely why the unemployment rate edged down to 7.7%.

    2. According to AEI's Jim Pethokoukis, if the LFP was the same in November as it was in October (meaning those 542,000 had not dropped out), the unemployment rate today would be back over 8%. If the LFP was the same last month as it was exactly one year ago, today's unemployment rate would be 8.3%. If the LFP was the same last month as it was when Obama took office, the unemployment rate today would be 10.7%.

    3. Last year the American economy averaged 153,000 jobs per month. This year we're averaging 151,000. We're going the wrong way. By comparison, during the best job creation year of the 1990s, the American economy averaged 321,000 jobs per month.

    4. Anywhere from 125,000 to 135,000 new jobs are required simply to keep up with the number of people who enter the labor force due to population growth. Because of this…

    5. At the present level of job growth, it will take another 13 years just to reach pre-recession employment levels.

    6. 73% of the jobs created over the last five months have been government jobs.

    7. Most of November's job gains (53,000) came from the service/retail sector. Construction lost 20,000 jobs, wiping out (and then some) a 15,000 gain in October. Manufacturing lost 7,000. 14,600 jobs came from the film business -- a onetime and temporary anomaly.

    8. According to Gallup, November saw the biggest decline since 2010 in the percentage of those aged 18 and older and employed full time. A drop from 45.7% to 43.7%.

    9. The Establishment Survey (of businesses) show the economy created 146,000 jobs in November. The Population Survey (of people) shows we lost 122,000. This discrepancy could come from the fact that it's not just businesses that create jobs. Many people are self-employed. Businesses might have created 146,000 jobs last month, but out among the people, 122,000 jobs were lost.

    10. With a much smaller population to work with, the average monthly number of new jobs created by the Reagan Recovery as compared to what we saw today and all throughout the so-called Obama Recovery, tells the entire story.

When the taxes go up on the wealthy it will get worse.

Yes, under Bill Clinton, when the tax rates were higher on everyone, including proportionately higher on the wealthy.

I do not understand the heel dragging, and the kicking and screaming over establishing fair tax rates based on income. The propaganda put out by the extremist right wing media has Christians buying into a system that is as ungodly and wrought with sinful selfishness as anything we've seen from the left.

"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24, ESV

    I can certainly see why.

Fair is subjective and quite a bit different for you liberals than it is for most everyone else. Government is not the answer to the worlds woes. Neither is it more secure.

It is not selfish to want to keep government our of our pockets.

Actually, fair and subjective, in terms of raising the tax rates, is where just about "everyone else" is, or did you miss the repudiation of your view in the most recent election? And while government isn't the answer to the world's woes, the scripture says that it is under God's authority, and Jesus affirmed that by rendering unto Caesar. The wealthy have attempted to buy and pay for the philosophy that somehow, they are not accountable for all they have, but should be privileged because of it to make everyone else pay tribute by footing the bill for allowing them their privilege. The only way you're not in favor of raising the taxes that should be raised is that your opinion was purchased. How much did you get for yours?

Apparently you did. You do understand that Obama got elected only because conservatives would not vote for Romney? Most of the country did not vote for Obama, Most of those who showed up to vote did. Two completely different things.

Which has nothing to do with our choosing to support making this happen in America.

Left wing class envy. Nothing truthful here.

And a conspiracy theorist as well.

ROFL! That's funny. Conservatives would have sold their soul to the devil to get a Republican elected this time around. Some, in a round about way, actually did.

The bottom line here is that people understand that President Obama and his party want to maintain the current tax rates for 98% of the American people, and want to extend that same benefit up to $250,000 for the wealtiest 2% who pay less per capita than their middle class counterparts, restore the tax rate for the remaining amount above that to a level where it was during the most prosperous period of the last century, and use the proceeds, some 1.7 trillion dollars, to pay down the debt, and end deficit spending. And the Republicans are throwing a fit over it, and trying to block it at all costs, one of which will be losing fifty or sixty house seats in 2014.

Keep getting your information from the same sources that told you Romney was going to win the election, and you'll keep making these ridiculous posts.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Conservatives stayed home same as they did with McCain.

You keep on supporting Obama and his third world anti-Americanism. The current Sycophantic dedication of Obama you are part of will destroy this country.

The prosperous period was because of the new industry meaning the dotcom bubble. When that crashed we went into a recession which Bush inherited. The Republicans forced Clinton into a balanced budget. So let's not pretend that high taxes were the motivator here. Those talking points will not stand up to the test of history.

And Obama has no intent on paying down the debt. He has never once made that promise and is now asking for the ability to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling as high as he wants.

The facts are in, Obama is pushing his third world anti-American agenda he got from his daddy.

To level that charge, you should be ready to supply the same answer about yourself. Who bought yours and how much they pay?

Too bad there's not a smilie for ROFL. I guess that's the conclusion you draw when you get your talking points from guys who used to play plastic discs that go round and round on turntables for a living. No wonder your side lost the election.
