Yep, very hypocritical. They are saying, "I deserve help, but no one else does if it will cost me anything."

Politics come home to bite them.

Of course, everyone knows that the votes against the Hurricane Sandy bill were because it had a lot of expensive riders in the bill that had nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy but were just the usual pork barrel stuff. And, of course, that was made perfectly clear at the time.

But then NPR, the source that says it would be hypocritical to help the tornado victims, fired Juan Williams because he said that he would be worried about getting on an airplane with an Arab in Islamic dress. NPR gives the straight Democrat party line using the taxpayers' dime. It is time that NPR gave their federal funding to the victims of Hurricane Sandy and didn't ask for anything more from the taxpayers ever.

Democrats post things that back them up, and Republicans do the same. That's why I am going to switch from Democrat to Independent in the not too distant future. Both of them are full of it.

You prove me wrong and I will agree with you. I am not sure that Independents are any better than anyone else but good luck to you anyway.

Well, under Reagan, he tripled the deficit. He forced the TWA union pilots back to work(so much for the GOP's wanting less government, eh?). Then there was this thing called the Iran-Contra affair.....and I think uncle Ollie fell on the sword for a bunch.

Then there was George H.W. Bush and his "read my lips, no new taxes", and he raised them pretty fast.

Then there's good ole Dubya. We had an excess of money that the democrats(mainly Clinton pushing for it) wanted put into SS, and it would have lasted until ~2035. The GOP's(Dubya pushed for it) wanted to spend it. Look at how we were before he took office, and how we were when he left.

The democrats have their faults, and many they be, but the GOP want to ship every good paying job over seas, where there's little to no insurance costs, they work for pennies on the dollar, and therefore, a bigger profit margin for the one-percenters. By shipping our jobs overseas, it creates a two-fold problem. One, you have cost "x-amount" of american jobs to be subsidized over seas, and second, less tax money going into the american "kitty". Again, how can we as a nation grow, when our jobs are going elsewhere?

So you prefer people post things that DON'T back them up?? Or things that have no support, mere unfounded allegations? Interesting.
