Carcinogens in processed food is not a new practice. Unadulterated anything is hard to find. We have done a remarkable job of polluting the planet in the past several millenia. Man has had difficulties everytime he has moved to the city.

The major carcinogen is sin. The love of money drives the world.

We have nearly 7 billion mouths to feed. Kosher hot dogs anyone?

    Now what?

    Even so, come Lord Jesus.

    Old news.

The subject of sodium nitates in food has been under discussion and debate for years. As has artifically created MSG. MSG is a naturally occuring compound found in nature. Seaweed, in particular, if memory serves. Man has found a way "process" MSG which alters its natural properties.

Today, if you buy almost anything from a grocery store to eat, tampering in one form or another has happened to the detriment, in one way or another, of what God originally supplied to nourish our bodies. Even the so-called "organic" items fall into this classification, as well.

Well if you're worried about getting cancer you can always do like Angolina Jolie and start having your body parts removed pre emptively.

I eat hot dogs, bologna, sausge, peperoni, ham, hamburgers, etc etc etc.

    And I will continue to.

I would rather go to my eternal home a bit sooner rather than spend the rest of my life eating celery and bean sprouts :tonofbricks: all the time.

Studies are like the weather in Houston. If you don't like it wait a minute, it's likely to change.

In my 60+ years I bet these studies have reversed themselves a dozen times concerning coffee. I don't worry about it.

If bologna is so bad for a person, why do governments around the world serve so much of it to their citizens? And at the UN, that is all they serve ever although the UN did suggest a couple of weeks ago that people should eat bugs (other than when they are mowing the grass with their mouths open).

Some say colon cancer is not as bad as emphysema. Don't think I care to prove it. I would still love to smoke.

Check out the dietary laws God gave to Israel--to keep them healthy. Unadulterated meat is available.

If we consume enough sodium nitrate/nitrate, will they give us a discount at the undertaker? They will not have to use much embalming fluid.

Not much use in the Lord's Army if we are always on sick call.

    Bon Appetite,

Because it's cheap. Has nothing to do with nutritional value.

I could probably live longer if I stopped eating bacon or sausage, but I'm not sure the extra life is worth not eating bacon or sausage anymore.
