What does anyone think is going on in Egypt? Who is in control of these events? It has just been about a year since this new leader was elected with a new Constitution. Not kidding, I would be particularly interested in hearing Poncho's take on these events.

Yeah, it's a shame Egypt won't be sending hordes of Jihadists into Syria now to help Washington's ally (Al Qaeda) overthrow Assad. That must be real upsetting for Obama, McCain and Graham.

Sad how we support rebels of ANY kind without really thinking about it.

the only thing that has happened in Egypt is that the people who want to work and live and be happy got HOSED.

I looked at the whole "arab spring" with a VERY jaundiced eye quite honestly.

When my father came back from the US Army and was honorably discharged, he told us "The American people are the most lied-to people on Earth."

When will we have real leadership in this country again? When will we have someone who will put us before everyone else?

Three things must first happen imho. First we need to crawl out of the false left vs right paradigm (see signature below) that distracts and divides us and keeps us fighting amongst ourselves while the elite take us to the cleaners and second we need to stop believing all their lies and question everything, then take it upon ourselves to find the truth, the politicians and the corporatized mass media are in the business of hiding the truth. We need to make it our business to find it and embrace it no matter how strange it tastes or how much it goes against our life long programming.

And third, after we find the truth spread it to the four corners of the earth. The truth to these elitist criminals is like light to cockroaches. Shine it on them and they'll all scatter in fear.

If we can do those three things we can take this country back, if not, well, see ya in the gulag. :wavey:

I've gotten some feedback from friends in the region and it is INCREDIBLE what is taking place over there in the midst of all the politics.

The Coptic Church is having a revolution. People are coming to Christ like crazy!!! In the shadows of the political upheaval, right outside Cairo, the cave Church is hosting hundreds of thousands and folks are coming to Christ!!!

    A prophecy against Egypt:

See, the Lord rides on a swift cloud
    and is coming to Egypt.
The idols of Egypt tremble before him,
and the hearts of the Egyptians melt with fear.
2 “I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian—
    brother will fight against brother,
    neighbor against neighbor,
    city against city,
    kingdom against kingdom.
3 The Egyptians will lose heart,
    and I will bring their plans to nothing;
they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead,
    the mediums and the spiritists.
4 I will hand the Egyptians over
to the power of a cruel master,
and a fierce king will rule over them,”
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.
    Isa. 19:1-4

I would say well over 90% if one counts most Democrats and establishment Republicans. IMO, Rand Paul and his type would be the exception.

    This is classic!!!

The Al‑Nour Party is an ultra-conservative Islamist party maintaining a strict version of Islam, known as the Salafi methodology. Salafis believe in practicing Islam as it was practiced by the Prophet Muhammad, with their main source of governance strictly based on the Quran and the Sunnah.

Great news about People over there coming to Christ! Also I love Biblical Prophesy and will have to check that Scripture out. Thanks!

Personally I hope we stay out of that mess over there. I care about what happens with Israel and protecting the Suez canal, but otherwise, let Egypt take care of Egypt. If the Coptics asked for asylum we might help em, but otherwise....

Egypt: ElBaradei's appointment put on hold

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt's new president moved to assert his authority and regain control of the streets Saturday even as his Islamist opponents declared his powers illegitimate and issued blood oaths to restore Mohammed Morsi, whose ouster by the military has led to dueling protests and pitched street battles between rival sides.

    CONTINUE . . .

Looks like Egypt is going to fall back under Washington Inc's thumb no matter which way it turns.

The unrest in Egypt, of course, was led entirely by ICG member Mohamed ElBaradei and his US State Department recruited, funded, and supported April 6 Youth Movement coordinated by Google's Wael Ghonim. While the unrest was portrayed as being spontaneous, fueled by the earlier Tunisian uprising, ICG's ElBaradei, Ghonim, and their youth movement had been in Egypt since 2010 assembling their "National Front for Change" and laying the groundwork for the January 25th 2011 uprising.

ICG's George Soros would then go on to fund Egyptian NGOs working to rewrite the Egyptian constitution after front-man ElBaradei succeeded in removing Hosni Mubarak. This Soros-funded constitution and the resulting servile stooge government it would create represents the ICG "resolving" the crisis their own ElBaradei helped create.

    CONTINUE . . .

I hope the Egyptians are smart enough to see through this scam too.

Believe it or not, the US State Department's mission statement actually says the following:

"Advance freedom for the benefit of the American people and the international community by helping to build and sustain a more democratic, secure, and prosperous world composed of well-governed states that respond to the needs of their people, reduce widespread poverty, and act responsibly within the international system."

A far and treasonous cry from the original purpose of the State Department - which was to maintain communications and formal relations with foreign countries - and a radical departure from historical norms that have defined foreign ministries throughout the world, it could just as well now be called the "Department of Imperial Expansion." Because indeed, that is its primary purpose now, the expansion of Anglo-American corporate hegemony worldwide under the guise of "democracy" and "human rights." That a US government department should state its goal as to build a world of "well-governed states" within the "international system" betrays not only America's sovereignty but the sovereignty of all nations entangled by this offensive mission statement and its execution.

    CONTINUE . . .
