Kenyan Cardinal John Njue, Archbishop of Nairobi and president of the Kenyan Episcopal Conference, joined other African leaders last week in open dismissal of President Obama’s urging to accept same-sex marriage.

“Those people who have already ruined their society…let them not become our teachers to tell us where to go,” said Njue in response to Obama’s statements promoting same-sex marriage. “I think we need to act according to our own traditions and our faiths.”

They had a lot of help from the heterosexuals in ruining society.

I wonder what the Cardinal says about polygamy in Kenya? It is a very common practice.

We have at least two thus far who are well conditioned by political correctness in this thread.

Now I KNOW you're not accusing moi of political correctness?

Homosexuality hasn't ruined anything. It's just jumped to the forefront with heterosexual lust and fornication and every other sin known to man. It's really just symptomatic of the ruin "slide" man has long been on.

Scripture tells us But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Tim. 3:1-5

Lots of lovers of pleasure, heterosexual and homosexual, and not of God.

The United States has been destroyed from within not by one sin, but by the liberal advancement of all sin because of a rejection of God's truth.

In Ripon, Wisconsin, anti-slavery activists met for the first time on February 28, 1854, then held their first State Convention in Jackson, Michigan, JULY 6, 1854.

This new political party stood against slavery, taking a moral stand for the value of human life.
Also, because of a movement in Utah to redefine marriage, this new party stood for marriage being between one man and one woman.

They named their party "Republican," with the chief plank being "to prohibit...those twin relics of barbarism: POLYGAMY AND SLAVERY."

--from William Federer, tv commentator on Faith in History and former candidate for Congress from St. Louis.

I think that we can easily add same-sex marriage to the list of relics of barbarism.

Perhaps. But same -sex marriage didn't bring the moral tide of the country or the world to where it is now.

Feminism brought us to overt sodomy, but sodomy will bring certain sure and sudden destruction.

But it will bring certain sure and sudden judgment.

Did America receive sudden judgment for:

Slavery?
The way American Indians were treated?
The interment of Japanese Americans?
The abuse of children?

just to name a few sins.

Did America receive sudden judgment for:

blah, blah, blah
Spare me your false sanctimony. Do you believe a rapist should receive as light a sentence as a thief? Your propagandist's attempts to paint sodomy light as any other vice only works on the unwise, ill-informed and women.

abuse of children
You mean abortion, hypocrite?

Feminism has been a beast and a key factor in undoing the family as defined by God. And actually it may have been the liberal movement that truly started the slide into the moral abyss of society.

The case can probably be made that the skewing of both feminism and civil rights are what really started the quick slide.
