Obama's economy built on a stack of cards

The Commerce Department has just announced the early estimate on GDP growth for the second quarter. Not good. It's only 1.7 percent, which is even worse than the paltry annualized growth of 2.0 percent we've been seeing throughout Obama's presidency. It gets worse: GDP growth for the first quarter, which was already downgraded from 2.4 percent to 1.8 percent, has been downgraded again to a mere 1.1 percent.

Surely his recent shift into campaign mode focusing on jobs has got nothing to do with his advance knowledge of these anemic economic numbers, right? :BangHead:

Also, I'm sure Obama will spin the 1.7% GDP growth in the second quarter as good news since it is better than the revised downward, and re-revised downward 1.1% in the first quarter!

He has never stopped being in campaign mode. It is a constant state of existence with him. He never leads he just campaigns. That is why he doesn't meet with Repubs he just tells them what he wants through public speeches.

I couldn't agree more. I ask my Dem friends where the leadership is and they still fawn over him. I don't get it. Must be the "King has no clothes" syndrome.
