Humana, the Mangione's insurance company, made it clear the increase was solely the result of compliance necessities under the new health care law, and that the Mangione's would find that other companies would be increasing rates in a similar fashion.

This is much worse than had been predicted by even the most pessimistic of health care observers. While I'm sure some increases won't be so drastic, there will nonetheless be drastic increases for nearly everyone who wants to keep their private insurance plans. This is subtle blackmail by the Great Pretender. Sure, keep your plan, but it's going to cost you 40% of your income. No one can afford that. Everyone will be forced into the "one-size-fits-all" idiocy of the PPACA.

I've changed my stance. Republicans need to kill this law, anyway they can. Even if it means putting the government out of business. Just Do It!

Bad Story. Many of us could be in real trouble with this type of help.

My policy will be going down a little over 10% next year with mandated increases in what is covered. I don't recall ever seeing a $ decrease before.

    Perhaps I'm the exception.

Yes, and incredibly blessed to be one. As RevMitchell wrote in another thread, expectations are that costs will double for men, increase by nearly 2/3 for women. It's criminal.

It is. Big companies are able to shed their health insurance obligations, which is what they want. Wall Street forces the government to borrow more money and print more money, which drives the market up and makes Wall Street richer and richer. Democrats are able to establish more and more control over people by the use of government coercion, which they realize is the only way that they can retain power. Special groups can get waivers so that they will get better, cheaper healthcare, which is what special groups want.

Meanwhile demagogues like McCain and Obama drone on and on about how they won the election, although they lost the House of Representatives, and it appears that several GOP Senators will have to rely on Democrat votes the next time up.

Yep. Mass victimization is a political strategy, and Obamacare is the weapon

The Democratic party thrives primarily on victimization. The more destitute workers become, the more they demand handouts from politicians, and no party is more willing to widely distribute handouts than the Democratic party. Ensnaring people in a cycle of poverty and dependence is the democrats’ long-term re-election strategy. The more people who live in poverty, in other words, the more powerful the Democrats become.

That's total male bovine excretory material.

Corporations didn't what this idiotic plan. Socialists wanted it, and it appears we're going to get it, like it or not.

You two want to attack corporations, fine. But someday you will realize you are aiding and abetting the liberal-socialist takeover of the United States. When the socialists have taken over, when there are no private companies to work for, and when no one can afford a loaf of bread, remember, your irrational uninformed subversive rants and whines are what will have killed free enterprise.

Sick to death of this nonsense. Put a sock in it. You don't know what you're talking about.
