Interesting comments whether you agree with them or not.

Nah. Not so much. It's The Guardian. Towing the (socialist) party line.

I sorta hope the GOP does splinter and go the way of the horse and buggy. Perhaps the Tea Party can get something done against the liberals without dragging the moderates along all the time. However, it probably is true that except for McCain, the GOP is unified much to the disappointment of Harry Reid, the second hope of the Mormons. Reid and Obama certainly do not want the national parks re-opened anymore than they want schoolchildren touring the White House. You can see a certain bitterness in Pelosi and Reid, both of whom are outside the mainstream of American life (Pelosi having been denied communion worldwide by the Vatican in spite of her immense wealth). Reid is the picture of the Joe Smith/Brigham Young type of Mormon who were angry with Washington DC and the "gentiles."

Good thing the American people do not see it that way. And it is not surprising the socialist UK does.

Yes, the Republican congress is to "blame" for not funding Obamacare, just as the signers of the Declaration of Independence are to blame for the Revolution and the resulting liberty.

The congressmen are doing what they were elected in 2010 to do. The people are shutting down the government.
