Amber Alert System Shut Down

Private farms shut down because they're on federal property (I wanted to post a link but at the very end, the lady said she was mad but used a cuss word to express it and that made it against the rules to post it), people kicked out of their own homes because the homes were on federal property, people facing losing their business for life, income, homes...

Is this really the voice and power of the people in action? Are those in power simply doing what the people want and properly representing the citizens who elected them to represent their part of the population?

If so, what the heck kind of people want this stuff and why?! If you wanted it, explain that.

I stopped by Washington Crossing National Cemetery (in Dolington PA) yesterday after church to see if it was open.

There were no signs of any federal government shutdown there.

It's open for viewing and parking (and I hear people are dying to get in there).

I'd guess the shutdowns are for show - get the maximum exposure for the bang.

An Amber Alert shutdown would get some attention.
