Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius likely thought her interview with Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show” Monday night would be an easy setting to pitch the Obamacare exchanges to young people. Instead, she ended up getting accused of being a liar by the popular comedy host.

During his interview with Sebelius, Stewart repeatedly sought an answer from the secretary on why big businesses got a delay in their Obamacare mandate to provide affordable health insurance to their employees, while individuals did not get a delay in their Obamacare mandate making them purchase health care or face a penalty.

In a rare monologue at the end of the show, Stewart said he remained confused and that he suspected that the secretary may have been lying to him.

Because it would be harmful to the Democrats if she admitted it was to force people into the exchanges.

When the liberals start eating their own, you'd think there might be a problem with the program.

I'm sitting here and listening to the interview, and her lies are unbelievable. "For the first time, people are going to be able to shop the market, figure out what they qualify for ... " she blandly opined at the beginning of the interview, but she lies like a cheap rug -- of the throw variety or the hair variety. She claims you couldn't shop the private insurance market the way you can shop the ACA, but that's utter and complete nonsense. "Choices are available that have never been available." Horse hockey! In some states, there are only two providers willing to jump through the dictator's hoops to provide insurance through the exchanges. How's that equate to more choices when there are literally hundreds of choices to be made in the free market? And almost all of them are cheaper than what the ACA will cost.

To beat Stewart over the head with a hammer, he advocates a single-payer system for national health care, claiming it would be simpler and cheaper. Yeah, Jon, that's worked really well with Medicaid, hasn't it? Perhaps he would like to attempt an explanation of why states are moving to a multiple payer Medicaid system. Hint, Jon. It's because government is notoriously bad at business management, and the ACA will prove that definitively, as no program before it has ever proven. This whole thing is a circus, and when it tears down and leaves town, there will be chaos in its wake.

I'm thinking FollowTheWay and CTB will not respond to this thread.

When even Jon Stewart questions a liberal plan, people should sit back and ask why....
