This is really interesting.

The highest-ranking Muslim in the British government on Friday (Nov. 15) called on Western governments to do more to protect besieged Christian minorities across the world, particularly in the Holy Land where they are now seen as “outsiders.”

Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, the government’s minister for faith and the first Muslim member of a British cabinet, said religious freedom is a proxy for human rights and must not be an “add-on” to foreign policy.

“A mass exodus is taking place, on a biblical scale,” she said in a speech at Georgetown University. “In some places, there is a real danger that Christianity will become extinct.”

Warsi, a mother of five and the daughter of Pakistani immigrants, said Christian minorities in war-torn regions of Egypt, Iraq, Syria and elsewhere are threatened by Muslim majorities in the very places that gave rise to Christianity.

Don't you find it somewhat interesting that a Muslim is asking that Christians be protected ... and no Christian politicians have called for the same?

I disparaged no one. I only said I have been told how Arab Christians are treated. Do you believe Arab Christians should be protected?

You regularly defend their faith as being "misguided" rather than rejecting it outright as a false teaching, and if that is not attempting to defend Islam and disparage those who would take the truthful view, what is it?

For example, on Feb. 29 of last year, on a thread titled "Rick Warren & Muslims" (which was closed, by the way) you posted:

I agree they do not believe in the trinity. I mentioned that in another post. They do not understand and say that Christians who believe in the trinity believe in three gods not one God.

They do not believe that it was Christ who died on the cross. At least that is my understanding and they use various Old Testament scriptures to back up their claim.

Here are examples they use:

GOD Almighty will hear his cries (Psalm 91:15) and will save him (Psalm 91:3).

GOD Almighty will cover him with His Protection (Psalm 91:4).

Christ will then not have any fear in him (Psalm 91:5).

I believe Christ did die on the cross, was raised and that he took our sins on himself so that we might be saved.

On salvation my understanding is that basically they believe in a salvation by works. I believe that salvation by works is incorrect. I do believe that a person's works show their faith. Thus, to me Moslem extremists works show they are not good Moslems just as Christian extremists, say in Northern Ireland who take part in murders and violent activities, are not good Christians.

First, Baroness Warsi is Her Majesty's Minister for Faith in the current government. So, she is not just some member of the House of Lords mouthing off.

Second as to the question of Palestinian Arab Christians, who are these folks supposed to be protected from? The Israeli Government (which probably just lumps the into the general Arab population) or their fellow Arabs (who can't [peacefully] wrap their minds around the idea of a non-Muslim Arab)?
