Pretty cool. I know Red Robbin had those already. (Ate there a time or two while on vacation.) I imagine over the next few years they'll get at least a little more common at restaurants in general.

The two chains are owned by the same Kansas City-based holding company, though corporate HQ for Red Robin is in Greenwood, Colorado while Applebee's is in KC.

You know.....I like Red Robin as a family place. You can go there and get a burger (their specialty) just the way you like it & the waitresses are always attentive. Great for families & kids. Seriously cant say that about food chains in general....RR is the exception.

Funny you should mention that. We've been there a few times and it's not bad at all. The place had horrible service in the beginning and they knew it. Once the waitress did such a bad job the manager came out and gave us a gift card and apologized to us, and there was no complaining until he asked us to be honest with him and tell him about it, so I did.

Whenever we have gone back the manger always greets us and thanks us. We couldn't believe the gift card had 50.00 on it, we thanked him for that as well. Their service has gotten really good.

As to the OP we're not Applebees fans. Their food isn't very good around here but was better back east. I hope nobody lose their jobs over tablets doing it for them.
