Vegan Warriors says it will protest the Lifepointe Baptist Church

[They're] asking for the live animal exhibits to be removed from Christmas Lights Spectacular which attracts thousands each year. Ms Musgrave says the Vegan Warriors will protest even if the animal farm is operating within all legal guidelines and has the sanction of the RSPCA. . . . .Ms Musgrave said the RSPCA was only interested in "animal welfare and not animal rights". She said she hoped to "liaise with the church first, hoping they may acknowledge this cruelty inflicted on animals". Ms Musgrave admits she has never attended one of the Christmas shows as "I never go to church". However, Vegan Warriors members had been emailing concerns.

Well, with a group in New York suing to provide a chimp "human" rights, what else is new?

These looney-tunes really need to find another hobby.

Problem being it is not a hobby to these folks. It is a religion. Their practice is half as much about radicalized protests as it is about what they eat. My daughter had a friend who was one of those vegan drum beaters. I tried to be accommodating one time she was at the house and grilled a basket full of veggies. She won't eat anything with a mommy or a face. I asked her how she reconciled not eating anything with a mommy but had no problem letting a mommy kill something with both a mommy and a face and call it choice? She complimented me on the zucchini. She won't eat honey because it is stealing labor from bees. She was wearing an alpaca sweater. I said something about her not minding stealing a coat from an animal.

I listened to about 30 minutes of her false religion diatribe and took great consolation in knowing that my food poops on her food.

LOL.....OK well Im trying hard not to eat animals if there are other food sources. my justification is .... I have killed almost everything known to man.....including man & I'm sick of doing it. Its a personal choice & Im not imposing it on anyone..... like I eat butter, I get eggs daily from my chickens & thats a great protein source.....but I try not to kill or have anything killed...... but I will have an occasional burger & I love Italian Salami (you know the good aged kind) but thats me.....it aint religion or anything....just a personal preference.

It's not a religion for all, just something that often tastes better. I go vegetarian more than vegan. I cycle in and out, often by season. I do eat meat sometimes. It does make me sick a lot, because I can taste the blood and taste if the animal was raised wrong/killed hard. And I do think that goes against our faith to raise and kill animals wrong. Eating meat isn't wrong, but not treating animals right definitely is wrong and should be "against our religion."

EWF, you're a decent man.

You'd make a lousy vegan. Milk is a no-no. Cheese? Nope. Butter? Milk product again so scratch that. You eat eggs? You know what end of the chicken they come from?

Salami? Mangia! Mangia! Little Italian market near us has this aged dry salami that is out of this world! Nice with a slice of provolone.

I respect your choice and would have no problem breaking bread with you. I'd even bring the bread along with some of that salami and provolone. The only thing that would be a problem is the Guinness. You can't drink a stout when there's a chance you might mask the bold flavor of the meat and the delicate cheese. Might have to try a nice vino.

Never...Guinness rules...and it grows hair on your chest. Hasn't worked well on my head though.
