Switching to copper bullets is going to cost hunters and law enforcement more, and probably do diddly-squat for the environment. Your "green gestapo" -- otherwise known as the EPA -- at work, folks. Enjoy.

I'm trying not to laugh. Consider the irony. The vast majority of bullets I shoot in the field are designed specifically to 'harm' the environment as in deer, turkey and coyotes. They are more than harmful. They are lethal on purpose.

Other than that I don't get the damages the environment argument. Lead is on the Periodic Table (Pb) between Thallium and Bismuth. It occurs naturally in the environment.

Three bullets go in the target to verify the scope. Then one bullet per critter. I added 700 grains of lead to our local environment. Wait, wait, wait!!! I didn't add a single grain. It came out of the ground. I just put it back.

Exactly. I get a kick out of people that get overly concerned about the use of landfills. "We're filling up landfills with stuff." Where do these people think this stuff came from to begin with? And what's wrong with filling up a landfill? Isn't that what they're made for?
