I'd say about 8:30 a.m. CST today. So, how long will it take before Global Warming is blamed for the winter storm we just had in the south?
So, how long will it take before Global Warming is blamed for the winter storm we just had in the south? These are rare occurrences but are nothing new. Liberals just can't help it. They have three scapegoats.
1. George Bush
2. Racism
3. Global Warming

The biggest joke of the global warming political movement.... computer models ...
That was nine months ago.“If climate scientists were credit-rating agencies,” the environment editor for Australia's largest newspaper quipped March 30, “then climate sensitivity — the way climate reacts to changes in carbon-dioxide levels — would be on negative watch but not yet downgraded.” The Australian for March 30 concluded that “the fact that global surface temperatures have not followed the expected global warming pattern is now widely accepted.”
The Australian was reacting to an article published the same day in the British magazine The Economist, which quoted David Whitehouse of the pro-regulatory Global Warming Policy Foundation as admitting that “If we have not passed it already, we are on the threshold of global observations becoming incompatible with the consensus theory of climate change." Whitehouse's statement means that even the hyper-regulatory zealots are now admitting their apocalyptic models are exaggerated.
That was five months ago.Mother Jones magazine and The New York Times are citing frightening global warming scenarios from the leaked upcoming report by the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The New York Times August 23, 2013 editorial claimed extreme storms like Sandy are a “harbinger of the calamities that await in an era of climate change.”
Friends of Science dispute these reports saying the evidence does not support these calamitous predictions. Judith Curry, chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology and noted climatologist published a statement on motivated reasoning in science: "Once the UNFCCC treaty was a done deal, the IPCC and its scientific conclusions were set on a track to become a self fulfilling prophecy."
The tornado count in the US year-to-date in 2013 is only 58% of normal (2005 to 2012 average). The global hurricane energy and frequency have declined significantly since 1998. In fact, only 3 hurricanes have made landfall in the USA during president Obama's 5-years presidency, the fewest of any president. In contrast, 26 hurricanes made landfall during the presidency of Grover Cleveland when CO2 level were low.
