Fox News ratings were double both MSNBC and CNN for the entire year in 2013, so that's not surprising that their coverage of the SOTU was also double the ratings of the Great Pretender Networks, Inc. I didn't watch the SOTU, for the first time since Clinton was president (I think) and from what I've seen the last two days, I didn't miss anything. Pure politics, campaigning and political domestic "sword rattling." The guy's a total loser, but the most dangerous loser who's ever held the office.

Same here, except I haven't watched since 2010. I used to watch it every year, no matter who was President. How could you not watch Clinton? The guy was a master speech maker.

I was surprised by a poll done by the local paper, what I call the Minneapolis Red-Star Tribune. Over two-thirds of the people polled said the speech was flat, boring, and didn't address the needs of the country. Surprised because this poll was taken in the land of Humphrey, McCarthy, Mondale, Wellstone, and Dayton.

One can only hear "It's not my fault" so many times.

    Obama's message has a pattern:

    SOTU #1: It's all Bush's fault!
SOTU #2: Wow! Bush really made a mess of things!
SOTU #3: We're just now discovering the scope of the mess Bush made!
SOTU #4: It's not my fault I couldn't fix anything. Bush's mess was just too big.

Let's face it: Obama is the Frank Burns of American politics.

For the same reason I didn't watch the Great Pretender the other night. After he lost his Congressional majority, Clinton was nothing but rhetorical, political, and boring.
Hm. Maybe there's hope after all.

    Not.
