You may draw your pen and squirt any time you feel your life is threatened.

If you have a carry permit. Which I would assume you would need to do this legally. Then you should remember they went over that. At least they do in NC.

Everyone who has obtained a CCL already knows what the laws are and have no need to ask such absurd questions. This is nothing more than typical liberal ignorance by choice in order to make more out of something than needs be. Maybe liberals should try a little honesty for a change.

It was an abysmally STUPID question, and I'm greatly disappointed in you for not realizing why.

You see, the author of the question is a self-confessed biology teacher; as such, he's required to teach his students research methods. Yet he didn't once refer to the fact that this law is meant for those that have state-approved concealed carry licenses. Three minutes of research yields that in order to get a state-approved concealed carry license, Idaho requires that you be over 21, have no legal reasons to be denied a carry license (i.e., a background check), complete the application and provide proof of training.

So no, Mr. Biology Teacher, you're not just gonna carry a weapon into your classroom and have to decide without training which student to shoot. You're gonna have to apply for your concealed carry license; let them do a background check to ensure you're not a threat; and complete some training that will tell you when you can shoot.

It only took me three minutes to find that information.

And this guy teaches science?!? I'll bet he says creationism is wrong because it's based on religious faith and not fact; but he's basing his whole "question" on fear of gun violence and not fact about what's actually required with this law.

Abysmally STUPID question. Again, I'm quite disappointed in you, CTB. For one who proclaims such a respect for chess, you forget the first rule before either person makes their first move: Know your enemy, and their motivations, and you'll know what strategy they will employ. You obviously didn't even give that consideration before you decided to justify this idiot's fear-driven appeal to emotion by stating "good question."

    Stupid question.

Real law is no respecter of persons. If one poses an imminent threat to life or limb, he may be shot.

It doesn't even have to be a student. You are free to shoot faculty and staff too.

In Belgium, if the child is sick, you can off him at will. As someone noted, no wonder that the EU doesn't want executions--they themselves are murderers. Hitler seems to have left his ideology in control in Belgium.

If a teacher or other adult may not punch, draw a weapon on, or shoot someone for looking like they're reaching for something or for "taking a defensive stance," why is it suddenly okay, defensible, and often not even questioned by many if the person waving the gun has a badge?

    Why?

Simply because there seems to be no practical way to keep guns (or other items that could be used as deadly weapons) out of the hands of those who are prone to use them against defenseless teachers or administrators or the students who attend "Public (Code Word for "Government-Controlled Indoctrination Centers"!) Schools."

We've already taken prayer, Bible reading, and posting of God's Ten Commandments out of our Government Schools (which, BTW, are financed by OUR tax dollars--whether or not we actually have any of our children in them!), and have replaced them with armed "School Resource Officers" who now patrol the hallways of these schools.

Those who either work there or, as students, have to attend them, must walk these premises with fear and trembling, constantly wondering if their campus will be the next "Columbine."

This, sad to say, is what is the result of a society who has turned its back on the God Who created them, and I predict it will only get worse and worse in the future.

The current administration in Washington, and the do-nothing Congress that occupies the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue in the District of Columbia will not do very much (if anything at all) to reverse this evil trend in the foreseeable future.

History itself shows us that until we as a collective society fall on our knees before God Almighty and repent of our evil ways will we ever experience a society that Our Creator intended it to be (II Chronicles 7:14).

Would to God that His people come to terms with the fact that until we repent of our collective sins and get serious about serving our Lord in whatever capacity He has called us, only then will we experience the collective blessedness that He intended for us be realized as He described in Psalm 33:12!

Do you think that students who are in the habit of carrying a weapon without a carry permit would pay any attention to that?
