Summary: The TSA Union wants to create an armed branch of the TSA for security.

They've already got three to six officers in each airport authorized to carry, and at least two are always on duty. They failed to adequately respond to the LAX shooter. That's a training issue, not an indication that an armed security force is needed. Particularly since most major airports have metro police assigned as airport police, and they are on duty 24/7.

TSA agents don't have any common sense. In the last year, they've stripped-searched a six-year-old girl and detained an 85-year-old grandma who didn't want to take off her Depends, because she didn't have a fresh one to change to, so why would we trust them with guns?
