if this goes viral I am sure she will just say "all that for a couple of damned flags ?", like she said "all these for a damned flag" about the American flag.
Then her apologists (both in her party and this board) will likely give this or that reason and ridicule those who felt offended by her stupidity.
But between her, her party, her husband, and her "illustrious" apologists everywhere and two veterans who refuse to stand up during the Pledge of Allegiance and say they do so because the Pledge was reinstated by their city council for political and not patriotic reasons, why, I'd side with the two vets anytime, anywhere.
vets refuse to stand up during Pledge of Allegiance at council meeting
note: per the article, one is a Vietnam vet, the other served 30 years both in active and in reserve capacities.
I see Michelle Obama waving red cloths tied to sticks.
FYI, here's what the Chinese communist flag looks like:

I agree. I looked carefully and there is no yellow showing. From the folds in the flags yellow should be showing. See how the red rags are tied, one corner. The Chinese would never allow their flag to be tied from one corner to sticks. Believe we have an example of yellow journalism in the referenced photo in the OP.

And ... ? She wore a series of red dresses while in China. Surely she is not so stupid as to be unaware the significance of the color red? The 1917 Bolshevik Revolution was known as "The Red Revolution." The color red has been used throughout the last 100 years as a symbol of communism's rise to prominence in the 20th century. And you might want to consider this appearance (this photo from 2009) every year at the National Parade in Tiananmen Square ...I see Michelle Obama waving red cloths tied to sticks.

She knew what she was doing. It was deliberate. She hates the U.S. flag, she hates this nation. She is a Marxist revolutionary, just like her idiot husband.
You mean all those Chinese women marching in that photo are ...Sure.....its all scripted. And just as a sidenote: & considering that Im "older" but in my day, the wearing of red for a woman suggested something else (right or wrong).

Read that they could be scarves worn by the young pioneers of China who hold to the oath “I am a member of the Young Pioneers of China. Under the Flag of the Young Pioneers I promise that: I love the Communist Party of China, the motherland, and the people; I will study well and keep myself fit [lit. exercise well], and to prepare for: contributing my effort to the cause of communism.”
Either way it is way out of line, but typical for our nation hating FLOTUS except what she can leech from the taxpayer.
So let me get this straight. Michelle is in China, waving a blank red flag that has nothing to do with the flag of china but just happens to be the same color?
Red, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. Red is found everywhere during Chinese New Year and other holidays and family gatherings. A red envelope is a monetary gift which is given in Chinese society during holiday or special occasions. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck. Red is strictly forbidden at funerals as it is a traditionally symbolic color of happiness;[1] however, as the names of the dead were previously written in red, it may be considered offensive to use red ink for Chinese names in contexts other than official seals.

They do appear to be scarves tied onto sticks. Like I said, our media ain't there to explain this for us…..
Yep. And as Crabby said, red is a prominent color in Chinese culture, and has been for centuries. It's just silly to jump to the conclusion that Michelle Obama is waving the communist flag because she's got two red pieces of cloth tied to a stick.
