Anti-Christ Lawyers United does occasionally step in on cases like this; primarily to avoid accusations of inconsistency, as well as simply to step on toes and let everybody know they're there. If they can forbid one kid from reading his Bible, they might forbid another from reading the Communist Manifesto or Hitchins' God is not Great or Dawkins' The God Delusion.

“I am for socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is, of course, the goal.” ACLU founder Roger Baldwin, 1935

You gotta remember that in 1935 there were tons of Americans who felt this way. It was in the Great Depression. I bet some of your relatives felt the same way. Kind of a yellow journalism, illogical reply Rev.

Uh no they didn't. I am sure in your little circle they did. Birds of a feather...... It was no more common than it is now. Some people are so myopic they think what ever is going on in their own little world is what everyone else thinks.

And we see you have no idea what that means.

Oh, I expect there were some who are now not with us. As you are from Florida that even lends more probability to that being true.

I don't know about my relatives. Never heard anyone talk about the feelings of my folk during the depression. I know some were coal miners and some worked in the CCC. Never head of any in bread lines ... but they did grow big gardens. After WW II, when I was old enough to remember I never heard anyone say anything good about Communism. Those mountain folk were to independent and jealous of their freedom to lend much credence to such a philosophy.

Kind of a B.S. response. Nothing yellow in Mitch's reply which was on-topic, and destroyed your original accusation.

Well, Hitler promised to save people from communism and appeared to hate it, so maybe, just maybe...it's a really good thing?

    Don't bother, I'll just bury myself...LOL
