    I'm just curious why the Jewish element had to be introduced...especially when it was stated that the mayors being Jewish had nothing to do with the shooting.

    In a country where synagogues are being vandalized and anti-Semitic acts are increasing at an alarming rate, what just happened four hours from where leaflets were distributed telling Jews to register? A Jewish mayor was shot on Holocaust remembrance day.

    That's why it is an element - an essential, fundamental part of what happened. Good word choice when you chose to use "element." :wavey:

    Synagogues are always being vandalized.....I am not convinced it was a racial stimulated shooting however the media might wish to posture it thus.

    If it placed a Jew in a negative light some folks would not have a problem with emphasizing it.
